Astral Genetics Inc. was formed in 2011 and is proud to be part of the rapidly expanding Piedmont Triad Research Park in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It was formed by a group of scientists, experienced in the field of stem cell biology, regenerative medicine and animal science. Astral genetics offers a range of affordable, high quality, fee-for-service products relating to the generation and characterization of mouse and human induced pluripotent Stem Cells (iPS)... We can generate iPS lines from several sources: skin biopsy, established primary fibroblasts, fresh whole blood, frozen human lymphocytes or from sterile fresh human urine. We offer reprogramming using a single lentivirus carrying human transcription factors hOCT4, hKLF4, hSOX2 and hcMYC. Alternatively, non-viral reprogramming can be carried out using synthetic mRNA. Multiple levels of clone characterization are also offered.
