Elizabeth Thomas, associate attorney, has been with Bardavid Law since 2018. She is a 2017 graduate of the University of Utah College of Law with specializations in International Environmental Law and a primary focus in Immigration. She is fluent in Spanish, English and conversational in Mandarin Chinese. Elizabeth Thomas, associate attorney, has been with Bardavid Law since 2018. She has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the New York and New Jersey Immigration courts as well as in Family Courts throughout the State of New York. Prior to working as an immigration attorney, she worked as a photojournalist capturing the stories of marginalized groups throughout the world. Elizabeth was the Pro Bono Initiative Clinic Director for Immigration, graduating cum laude from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. She was also named the Publico Pro Bono Law Student of the Year in 2017. She previously lived in Nepal, South Africa, and China. She currently lives and works in New York City. She is fluent in English and Spanish and conversational in Mandarin Chinese. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law and is licensed to practice in New Mexico and New York. Ms. Finsterwald regularly appears with our clients in preliminary court hearings and USCIS interviews.

Joshua Bardavid

Joshua Bardavid, the principal attorney, has years of experience in immigration practice. He has successfully litigated hundreds of immigration cases, and has been lead counsel in several precedent setting appeals. Prior to working as an immigration attorney, he worked as a consultant to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Joshua was editor-in-chief of New York International Law Review and graduated cum laude from St. John's University School of Law. He has lived in Washington D.C., West Africa, and the Middle East.
