Bemac Supply is Southeast Oklahoma's premier plumbing and HVAC supply house with locations in McAlester, Durant, Ada and Idabel. Bemac Supply, a family business owned by the Ettner family for 3 generations, has been doing business in McAlester and surrounding areas for over 75 years. The business itself has been operational as Union Iron Works in McAlester since 1897, as an iron foundry. In 1946 Fred M. Ettner bought into the business and saw a need for a plumbing supply business in the McAlester area. The iron foundry had been serving the community and the coal mining industry that had been a huge part of the economy of McAlester at the turn of the 20th century. Coal mining was leaving the area and Fred M. Ettner saw an opportunity to diversify and continue the business...
