Daniel A. Benjamin

Dan was born in New York City and brought up in Stamford, Connecticut. His dad was a medical doctor in town. After graduating from Rippowam High School in 1971, Dan attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated with honors in 1975. Dan continued his education at the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated in 1978. Dan was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe, and won an American Jurisprudence Award in Trusts and Estates. Following law school, Dan returned home to Stamford, and became a member of the Bar of the State of Connecticut, State of New York, and United States District Courts. After working with several Connecticut firms, Dan opened his own practice in Stamford, CT concentrating in the area of civil litigation including personal injury, workers' compensation, contracts, and trust and estate litigation. In 1993, Dan and Ron Gold opened the law firm of Benjamin & Gold, P.C. at 350 Bedford Street - Suite 403, Stamford, Connecticut 06901. Dan is an active member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the Regional Bar Association. He also serves as a Special Master in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Process in civil matters for the Connecticut Superior Court. He volunteers his services to assist individuals and businesses mediate their disputes.

Michael P. Longo

Michael Paul Longo, Jr. is an associate attorney at Benjamin, Gold & Troyb, P.C. Attorney Longo was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. After receiving his B.A. in Criminal Justice in 2014 from Quinnipiac University, and a minor in Political Science, he earned his Juris Doctor in 2017 from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Following Law School, Attorney Longo joined a law firm in downtown Stamford, where he focused primarily on civil litigation, before joining Benjamin, Gold & Troyb, P.C. in 2020. Attorney Longo practices in many areas of civil litigation, including real estate law, commercial litigation, housing matters, foreclosures, and probate matters. Attorney Longo is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut and is a member of the Fairfield County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association.

Michelle A. Ross

Attorney Michelle A. Ross focuses her practice on business immigration law. Michelle represents businesses ranging from large multinational corporations to small start-up companies and individual entrepreneurs on the full spectrum of immigration benefit petitions and compliance matters. After graduating law school Attorney Ross worked for the Connecticut Judicial Branch as a law clerk for Superior Court judges in the Office of Legal Research. Michelle previously practiced immigration law with Viana Law Firm, P.C. in Manhattan and served as Of Counsel with Pollock & Maguire, LLP in White Plains, NY where she practiced immigration law and general civil litigation. Before joining Benjamin, Gold & Troyb, P.C., Michelle was worked as a Managing Attorney at Roberts Immigration Law Group, LLC. Attorney Ross is admitted to the New York State Bar and the Connecticut State Bar and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). From 2018 to 2020, Michelle served on the Board of Governors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and, between 2013 and 2020, also served as the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (CT AILA). During her tenure as CT AILA Chapter Chair the chapter was awarded the Bronze Chapter Excellence Award. Her previous speaking engagements include the 2020 AILA National Conference, numerous CT AILA events, and continuing education lectures for the Connecticut Bar Association.

Nancy Freedman

Attorney Nancy Freedman was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1991 and worked as the Law Clerk to United States Magistrate Judge David E. Wilson in the Western District of Washington in Seattle. Upon moving back to the East coast, having grown up in Great Neck, New York, Nancy and her husband, Richard, moved to Stamford (where Richard grew up). Nancy was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1996, but ultimately decided to retire from the practice of law to raise her family. Over the years, she became an active volunteer in the Stamford Public Schools and community. She has also produced over 30 full-scale musical productions involving thousands of students from over 25 area schools. As a result of Nancy's work in the schools, in 2014 she was awarded the Special Achievement in Arts Education Award by the Connecticut High School Musical Theater Awards for her work at Westhill High School. In 2018, she received the Stamford Public Education Foundation's Excellence in Education Leadership Award. She is currently the producer of the Stamford All-School Musical which she has done since 2008. Nancy is a member of the Fairfield County Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Additionally, Nancy serves as President of the Stamford Animal Shelter Alliance, a public/private partnership set up by the City of Stamford to raise money for a new animal shelter in Stamford. Nancy served as Vice-President at Temple Sinai and has raised money for a number of area nonprofits including Curtain Call and Neighborhood Studios in Bridgeport, CT. Nancy has lived in Stamford for 26 years; she and her husband have three adult children, all graduates of the Stamford Public Schools. Nancy received her B.A. degree in English from Stony Brook University and her J.D. from Hofstra University where she was an Articles Editor for the Hofstra Law Review. In 2020, Nancy unretired and joined Benjamin, Gold & Troyb, P.C., where she focuses on Immigration, Real Estate and Business Law.
