Angela Rossi is an experienced attorney who has over three decades of solid expertise practicing law. She is an accomplished litigator both in and out of the courtroom, with experience that includes countless trials and binding arbitrations. Her law practice includes products liability, premises liability, security guard law, construction defect, trucking company defense, and personal injury. In her construction defect practice, Ms. Rossi is highly skilled in defending organizations of all sizes, from small subcontractors to general contractors and large developers. She has also been a volunteer arbitrator through the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Barry Bradley co-founded our firm and serves as its Managing Partner. A seasoned litigator with strong business acumen and deep industry experience, Barry leads the firm's Business law team.
Barry A. Bradley is the firm's Managing Partner. Prior to founding the firm with Tom Gmelich, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Hardcore Gang Prosecution Division, where he had over thirty jury trials (including numerous murder trials), and countless bench trials and preliminary hearings. For nearly three decades Mr. Bradley has applied his law enforcement background with marked effectiveness to civil litigation and trials, representing the private security and business industries, both in the courts and in administrative proceedings. Mr. Bradley serves as general corporate counsel to numerous businesses throughout the State, and helps navigate his clients through licensing issues with the State security licensing entity. He also supervises the firm's attorneys in the litigation of their cases and in providing legal advice to the firm's clients.
Brian Lee is an associate in the professional liability team and the litigation team. He earned his law degree from UC Hastings College of the Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, Brian served an editor for Hastings Law Journal.
Brian's previous experience includes medical malpractice defense litigation, defending doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare practitioners in a broad range of litigation matters. His experience also includes working as a prosecutor at a District Attorney's office for several years, managing a heavy caseload and trying several jury trials to verdict.
Brian is licensed to practice in all California state courts. He is fluent in Korean.

Daniel Park is a Senior Associate Attorney at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP. Mr. Park is experienced in all aspects of employment law and workplace matters, including class action wage and hour, employment litigation, and bankruptcy litigation.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Park served as a Complex Litigation Associate Attorney at a law firm in Pasadena managing an extensive caseload of consumer-side class action wage and hour and representative actions from initiation to settlement in state and federal courts across California. He also represented many small business and real estate debtors in Chapter 11 restructuring bankruptcy litigation matters.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Park served as the Chief Financial Officer and was on the Board of Directors for an organization created to assist homeless families in finding employment and permanent housing. He also served on the Board of Directors for a foundation that raised capital funding for minorities and low-income families for accessibility to higher education.

Darren G. Mayers is Special Counsel at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP where he concentrates his litigation skills in representing insured clients in catastrophic injury cases. He has an extensive litigation background, having represented governmental entities for claims arising out of the California Tort Claims Act. He has represented national retailers, restaurants, and bars in premises liability and negligent security actions, and has represented trucking companies and truck drivers in claims related to over-the-road accidents. Mr. Mayers has extensive experience as a member of a GO Team, a first response to transportation accidents, along with accident reconstruction experts, who are available 24 hours a day to respond to any accident, interview the driver, and control the accident scene. He has also represented non-profit organizations throughout California. While in law school Mr. Mayers was a member of the Board of Governors of the Trial Advocacy Program. He has tried cases to jury verdict related to auto liability, premises liability, breach of contract, and negligent security.
Dean A. Reeves is a Special Counsel at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP with over 27 years' experience in civil and business litigation. Dean has represented individuals and businesses in state and federal trial and appellate courts, arbitration proceedings, and before various administrative agencies. Dean's areas of practice include general business litigation, premises liability, products liability, motor vehicle collisions, wrongful death, and private security firms, with liability defense and administrative licensing with governing state agencies.
Harold Laufer heads the firm's corporate practice. Harold is a highly experienced corporate transactional lawyer who has represented companies of all sizes, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, along with their owners and managers, as a Trusted Advisor. Mr. Laufer has handled a wide variety of transactions for corporate clients, with experience in all aspects of a business' life cycle, starting with deal structuring and entity formation, and continuing through financing, growth, and corporate governance, eventually ending in liquidity events and exits. As a transactional lawyer Mr. Laufer negotiated client contracts for several high-end events such as the Super Bowl and the Olympics.
Mr. Laufer has been General Counsel of a public international technology company located in Newport Beach.
Additionally, Mr. Laufer has extensive deal and mergers and acquisitions experience. He has lead deal teams for acquisitions, sales, and mergers, including the purchase and sale of security companies of all sizes. Other representative M&A engagements include representing a $300 million food company in a $25 million strategic purchase; the spin-off of a security business by a parent company in the entertainment industry; and representation of the seller of a several million-dollar general contracting firm. Mr. Laufer has represented established businesses and emerging companies in manufacturing, distribution and supply chains, real estate, aeronautics, entertainment, securities services, technology, services, and banking.
For several years Mr. Laufer was the Chair of one of the 7th Circuit Bar Committees in Chicago. He has published and lectured on mergers and acquisitions, negotiation strategies and skills, and corporate governance. He has taught graduate-level business courses on family offices, contract drafting and enforcement, and entrepreneurship. He is affiliated with UCLA's Anderson's MBA and entrepreneurial programs.
James F. Saunders has a wide range of experience in various aspects of insurance defense litigation, including general liability, premises liability, trucking litigation and coverage, with an emphasis in fraudulent automobile and first-party property claims. He has completed the five-day National Institute for Trial Advocacy Program and has significant jury trial experience in defending personal injury cases, having completed over 25 jury trials and participated in hundreds of arbitrations.

Jonathan A. Ross is an experienced civil litigator who has tried a substantial number of jury trials in California State Court, Federal Court and New York State Court. In addition, he has also arbitrated and mediated countless cases, as well as numerous court trials without a jury. Mr. Ross has extensive experience in civil litigation, having litigated over one thousand cases in his almost 30 years of experience in civil litigation, securing excellent results for his clients. Mr. Ross handles a wide variety of matters, including complex litigation, business and contractual litigation, catastrophic injuries, employment litigation, products liability, premises liability, and general insurance defense litigation. He counsels clients on proactive ways to reduce their risks, and provides seminars and training on some of the legal issues they face. Prior to engaging in his civil practice, Mr. Ross served the People of the State of New York as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, prosecuting both felonies and misdemeanors.
Kathryn (Kamil) Canale is an AV- Preeminent peer-rated attorney with a broad background of experience upon which to draw. She provides advice and counsel and litigates employment cases. She is known for her creative solutions to legal problems and for being an aggressive litigator for her utilization of procedural and substantive motions to resolve litigation in her client's favor. She specializes in handling complex liability and damages issues and cases with exposure in excess of a million dollars.
In addition, Ms. Canale is one of the co-hosts of the "Three B's on the Law" Podcast which focuses on legal and business issues facing companies today.
Lily Nhan, Esq. has extensive litigation experience involving premises liability, business litigation, motor vehicle collisions, dog bites, construction defect, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death. Her litigation experience working for both the plaintiff and defense bar has contributed to her success in achieving outstanding resolutions for her clients, which she defends both strategically and passionately to achieve favorable resolutions to civil claims.
Ms. Nhan takes pride in representing a variety of individuals and businesses in different areas of the law. In addition to her personal injury defense background, Ms. Nhan also has unique specialized experience representing Chinese clients in a large variety of business disputes.
Ms. Nhan is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, Glendale Bar Association, and Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles. She has been recognized by Pasadena Magazine's "Top Attorneys" issue as one of the Top Attorneys in personal injury practice in 2013-2014 and 2017-2018.
Lindy Bradley, Esq. a partner at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP, focuses her litigation and business practice on representing clients in the supermarket, grocery, big box stores, retail and restaurant industries, as well as public entity defense. She has a keen understanding of the full range of needs these industries encounter on a regular day-to-day basis. With over twenty-two years of solid experience as an attorney and trial litigator, her expertise extends to defending various supermarkets, retailers, public entities, corporate clients and insurance carriers against claims of property damage and physical injury. Ms. Bradley routinely represents clients in large exposure lawsuits from inception through trial. She draws upon a variety of experience in civil litigation, including defense against claims of premises liability, products liability, and government tort liability.
For the last eighteen years of her practice, Ms. Bradley has specialized in grocery store and restaurant litigation as well as accidents in other retail settings. Ms. Bradley routinely defends cases arising from claims of slip and fall, trip and fall, and food-borne illnesses for numerous national grocery and retail operations.
Ms. Bradley also practices public entity litigation with a specific emphasis on claims related to alleged dangerous conditions of public property. Ms. Bradley's public entity practice is dedicated to providing specialized representation to government entities and agencies which includes analysis of state and local ordinances, as well as direct communication and presentation to governing bodies, such as city councils, mayors, and city attorneys. Ms. Bradley understands that government entity clients require a broad spectrum of experience in litigating the diverse issues they face, such as detailed interpretation of the nuances of the Government Code and its application to litigation. Ms. Bradley has defended public entities in litigated claims since 2005, representing both City officers and employees. She also routinely handles private security litigation, business litigation, and corporate defense.
Mark Melo is Special Counsel at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP and heads the Firm's Law and Motion Department. Mr. Melo has over 24 years of litigation experience, including substantial experience in premises liability, products liability, and public entity defense. He has represented grocery and department store operators, restaurant franchisors and franchisees, security guard companies, and commercial landlords and property managers in cases involving slip-and-fall and trip-and-fall accidents, as well as injuries caused by third-party criminal conduct.
Mr. Melo collaborates with other attorneys in the Firm in the initial assessment of incoming cases, and development of pre-trial strategy. He coordinates motions in limine for our trial teams and supervises attorneys in the preparation of discovery motions and dispositive motions. Mr. Melo has successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal in the Second Appellate District in Los Angeles, and also trains and mentors law clerks employed by the Firm.
Mark Kiefer is Special Counsel at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP. His practice focuses primarily on defending medical, legal and other professionals in malpractice litigation. His experience in the healthcare industry also includes skilled nursing facilities, home health care, detox centers, emergency medical transport and sexual misconduct matters.
Mark also has experience in premises liability, construction accidents, construction defects, toxic/environmental torts, products liability, transportation/trucking cases, business litigation and a wide range of general civil liability matters. He has handled catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims involving significant exposures. Mark has trial experience and has both published and unpublished cases at the appellate and California Supreme Court level, including the landmark decision in Wilson v. Parker, Covert & Chidester (2002) 28 Cal. 4th 811, a case that is frequently cited in this area of the law. He is involved as a pro bono arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Courts.
Prior to joining BG+W, Mark was the Co-Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office of a statewide litigation firm. He served on the firm's Board of Directors and was Co-Chair of the Firm's Healthcare practice group. He is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Patrick J. Glinka is Special Counsel at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP. Mr. Glinka had defended clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability and amusement and recreation liability. His experience includes many first chair jury verdicts, as well as appellate advocacy. Mr. Glinka is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a member of the International Amusement & Leisure Defense Association and Defense Research Institute.

Peter H. Crossin is an experienced attorney in good standing with vast experience on both sides of the Plaintiff and Defense bars. He is admitted to all courts of the State of California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He has practiced extensively in the Superior Courts of the State and in the California Courts of Appeal. He has authored and argued over 20 appeals and writs and has exceptional writing and team leadership skills.
Mr. Crossin has held lead positions on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committees for the California In Re Intraocular Lens and Latex Glove coordinated litigations and defendants in the In Re Welding Rod coordinated litigation. He has prosecuted and defended a myriad of cases involving toxic tort, catastrophic injury, warranty claims, product and premises liability (with a particular emphasis in premises third-party criminal act litigation), construction defect and contract disputes.
Robert A. Crook has extensive experience in the courtroom, successfully trying numerous jury and bench trials for nearly three decades in both state and federal courts. He currently draws upon a broad range of experience in civil liability litigation, including complex litigation, business and commercial disputes, construction defect, medical malpractice, intellectual property, and products liability matters. Mr. Crook has published numerous appellate cases and has authored legal articles in a variety of publications.
Royce Y. Huang is Special Counsel at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP.
He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including law and motion, discovery, depositions, expert discovery and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has defended claims involving significant exposure and has successfully secured numerous dismissals, judgments and favorable settlements on behalf of his clients.
His practice includes medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, elder abuse, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, automobile liability, construction defect and other general civil liability matters. He also has experience in commercial and employment litigation.
While at Loyola Law School, he was on the Dean's Honor List and was a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. He was a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Dolly M. Gee at the U.S. District Court, Central District of California.

Saba Zafar is Special Counsel in Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP's Employment Law Department. Ms. Zafar has over a decade of experience in employment and business law. Ms. Zafar focuses her practice of providing strategic advice and counsel in all aspects of employment and business law, including, drafting and implementation of HR policies and procedures, Employee Handbooks, providing advice to clients on personnel issues as well as general business matters, and revising, drafting, and negotiating service and vendor agreements.
Prior to joining Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP, Ms. Zafar was a Senior Counsel providing advice and counsel to mid-sized to large businesses on employment law compliance and day-to-day employment issues, including implementing policies and procedures, employee classifications, employment separations, managing and disciplining employees, and COVID-19 rules and regulations. Ms. Zafar also handled a wide variety of employment matters in state and federal court, including cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation and wage and hour cases.
In her spare time, Ms. Zafar has volunteered as a Mediator for the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Orange County Human Resources Department. She was also a Volunteer Tutor for Schools on Wheels, tutoring elementary school students on skid row in Los Angeles. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Zafar was a Judicial Extern for California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District.

Sarah Hacobian is an associate in the litigation team at Bradley, Gmelich + Wellerstein LLP. Her practice focuses on counseling clients and litigating civil and business matters. She represents clients in labor and employment, personal injury, complex litigation matters in the areas of real estate, contract, business practices, partnership disputes, and other commercial litigation cases.
Sarah previously practiced and clerked with other Los Angeles County law firms. Prior to law school, Sarah worked in real estate and marketing. She is a graduate of Whittier Law School where she was on the Dean's List. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from University of California, Irvine. She is fluent in Armenian.
