About Us. BIRD Automotive is a closely held USA corporation whose principal owner and president is Samuel Bird. Mr. Bird is a mechanical engineer/MBA and a US Army veteran. For more than twenty five years we have designed, produced, sold and serviced accessories primarily for European and Japanese 2 door sports cars and sporty cars. Our Business has moved over the years from Willton, CT to Irvine and Monterey CA, and in 2021, permanently to our present location in Norwalk, CT. We maintain telephone numbers in London and Sydney which ring toll-free to CT. About 1/3rd of our business is international. Starting in 2000, we introduced a bicycle rack, cycle rack, bike rack, ski rack, snowboard rack, luggage rack, and golf bag carrier system that offer substantial advantages over alternatives.
