Gwendolyn Martin

Mrs. Martin was born on April 23, 1956 in Greenville, South Carolina. She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Furman University in 1978 with a B.A. degree in History. She received her law degree in 1980 from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was Articles Editor of the South Carolina Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Following graduation, Mrs. Martin worked for a major civil litigation firm in Greenville, South Carolina, where she handled insurance defense and commercial litigation. In 1988, Mrs. Martin became General Counsel of Coats North America, the U.S. subsidiary of Coats Plc, a London based international textile company. She managed all of the company's U.S. litigation, and also practiced in the areas of contracts, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, corporate governance, intellectual property, and employment law. In October 2008, she joined the firm as Firm Administrator & General Counsel for Litigation Management. Mrs. Martin is licensed to practice in South Carolina.

Laura W. H. Teer

Mrs. Teer was born September 14, 1974 in Sumter, South Carolina. She graduated summa cum laude from Wofford College in 1996 with a B.A. in English. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1999. While in law school, she was a member of the South Carolina Law Review and was inducted into Wig and Robe and the Order of the Coif. Following graduation, Mrs. Teer worked in a civil litigation firm in Greenville, South Carolina where she was involved in both plaintiff and defense work in the areas of worker's compensation, personal injury, zoning and municipal work, appellate work, and constitutional issues. Mrs. Teer has appeared before both the South Carolina Supreme Court and South Carolina Court of Appeals to argue a variety of issues and has reported opinions before both of these Courts. In 2003, she joined Mr. Martin where her practice areas include commercial litigation, employment law, and insurance coverage litigation.
