Brian Berlandi is a co-founder and partner of the firm. Brian brings a uniquely effective vision and perspective to clients of all sizes due to his broad experience that included private practice, in-house counsel and corporate operations. He has been especially effective counseling mid-sized companies in need of comprehensive legal counsel and operational advice across all aspects of their business, such as:
Brian is a member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).
Dan has been a First Deputy County Attorney, Town Attorney and Special Counsel to several municipalities. He now represents clients in an array of public-private initiatives, including sewer, water and other infrastructural projects, economic development/incentive programs, public contracts/ procurement and public financing (including IDA matters). Dan also has extensive experience negotiating and preparing municipal franchise agreements, public right-of-way agreements, PILOT agreements, offers of dedication and other public-private instruments, as well as negotiating and drafting easement and license agreements, examining title and handling disputes involving adverse possession and prescriptive easement rights.

Jay Nussbaum's professional experience extended far beyond the practice of law, encompassing business, entrepreneurship, arts and academics, enabling him to provide his clients with a broad, practical perspective. Over the course of his career, Nussbaum served as General Counsel for three different companies and as CEO to one. He worked and advised extensively in the fields of:

John is an experienced litigator who represents clients in all areas of commercial and civil litigation, including civil appeals, complex contract disputes, corporate dissolution proceedings, shareholder derivative actions, employment disputes, arbitration, international arbitration, and others.
Prior to joining BNR, John worked as a wrongful conviction fellow at the Law Offices of Ronald L. Kuby and as an associate in the white color crime and securities group at Dechert LLP. He received his bachelor's degree from The University of Maryland and his juris doctor degree with honors from The University of Connecticut School of Law.

Maria serves as Co-Chair of the Entertainment & Media practice, and as Special Counsel, to the firm and practices in the field of Entertainment and Media Law. Maria provides services to individuals and entities in all areas of Entertainment and Media law, including, film (both documentary and feature), music, literary publishing, fashion, sports and new media.
Most recently, Maria was general counsel for a multi-media and digital start-up working on a diverse range of subject-matter areas including corporate and financing transactions, technology development and licensing, employment and intellectual property (including trademarks, copyrights and patents) both in the US and abroad. Prior to her role as in-house counsel, Maria was associated with Rudolph & Beer, LLP and Greenberg Traurig, LLP where she served as counsel to numerous award-winning actors, writers, producers, television hosts and multi-platinum recording artists, sports teams, and corporations in the fashion industry related to their entertainment and intellectual property matters.
Ms. Bellucci serves as Special Counsel to the firm and practices in the field of Tax Law and Trust & Estate Law. Her extensive experience working both in-house for large corporations, as well as in private practice, provides her with an effective vision and perspective to clients of all sizes.
Talia is an experienced litigator who represents individuals and public and private companies in both plaintiff- and defense-side matters involving complex commercial, business, contract, and entertainment disputes before state and federal courts in New York, New Jersey, and California. Prior to joining BNR, Talia clerked for the Honorable Robert A. Salerno, Superior Court of the District of Columbia, after which she litigated medical malpractice and healthcare cases at Aaronson Rappaport Feinstein & Deutsch LLP in New York City.
