Barbara Carr Woodall - EVP

In her role as Executive Vice President, Woodall is responsible for assisting with the general management of the company. This includes overseeing core functions such as Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing and Procurement, and Community Outreach. As a second-generation co-owner of the company, Barbara has spent almost her entire life working in the logistics industry. After several years working in the travel industry, she was approached by her parents to come to work at Bonded to help them out on a temporary basis. Woodall started working for the family business in 1986 at the company's headquarters performing clerical duties. This led to a permanent position less than a year later as an Office Clerk at their second location where she was responsible for answering phones, handling paperwork, and scheduling appointments. In 1988, she transitioned back to the company headquarters where she took on a role as a Customer Service Representative. She was also instrumental in training and implementation when the company incorporated Accuplus in early 90's, the company's first automated warehouse management system. As the company transitioned to Bonded Logistics in 2001, Woodall became co-owner and expanded her role as a "utility player" for business operations. In 2007, in addition to customer service and HR responsibilities, she took on the function of purchasing and procurement corporately as well as for several customers across the company's divisions. She also inherited payroll duties in 2000, which she still handles today for over 300 temporary and full-time employees. In addition to her work functions, Barbara organized and manages the company's Community Outreach Committee formed in 2009. What began as a way to help employees through tough times has transitioned into a six-person team with events for local and national charities every month of the year. Benefiting charities include the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, Samaritan's Purse, American Heart Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, A Child's Place, and the Salvation Army.

Dave Jesse - COO

In his role as COO, Jesse is responsible for managing the operations of all three divisions of Bonded Logistics. This includes oversight of a management team that includes operations, IT, sales, marketing, and finance. From his hiring in 2010, Jesse has been instrumental in developing a shift to technology at Bonded, introducing state-of-the-art systems, building a customer web portal for visibility and transparency, and implementing business intelligence tools to make better decisions about improvements to the customer's supply chain. Prior to joining Bonded, Jesse was a founding member of Cadre Technologies where he served in various senior leadership positions. He led the software development, customer support, product management, and professional services group during his tenure. Prior to joining Cadre, Dave served as Chief Operating Officer for Frederick Trading Company, the eighth largest independent hardware distribution company in the country. While there, he oversaw the remodeling and expansion of their distribution network and was instrumental in streamlining their computer operations. Jesse has worked with a wide variety of clients over the years in the distribution and fulfillment industries to provide direction on business, operational, and technical issues. He has a strong ability for building business strategies that improve the bottom line. Dave has served on various industry boards throughout his career, providing direction and leadership in the areas of information systems and warehouse operations. Mr. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD.

Jerry Brown

As Vice President of Operations at Bonded, Brown brings a wealth of experience and strategic vision to drive operational excellence. With a proven track record in optimizing processes, enhancing efficiency and fostering cross-functional collaboration, Brown is a dynamic leader dedicated to achieving organizational success. Brown will be responsible for operational excellence across all 12 of Bonded's logistics facilities, including providing strategic direction on processes, reporting, improvements, and personnel. The logistics division of Bonded offers customized warehousing solutions to support the supply chain needs of clients across a broad range of industries. Brown previously served as Director of Operations at Kuehne + Nagel, Inc., where he was responsible for areas such as staffing, maintenance, service performance, and continuous improvement for the Midwest Region. Prior to that, he held various positions managing multiple supply chain functions for companies such as Neovia Logistics, CEVA Logistics, and Exel, Inc.

Jon Hayward

In his role as Vice President, Jon is responsible for oversight and management of Bonded's contract packaging division, Bonded Pac. Jon was instrumental in the group's move to a 215,000 sq. ft. dedicated facility where they provide a broad range of contract packaging services. His focus includes oversight of the day-to-day operations, managing the growth from current customers, as well as expanding the division into new verticals and technologies. Prior to joining Bonded Pac as General Manager in 2010, Hayward played an integral role in sales and marketing as a Partner during the 2008 start-up of Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. Jon's early career was with Coveris Advanced Coatings, a flexible film coater and converter, where he spent 18 years in various engineering, operations, and commercial roles, most notably as Senior Director of Sales & Marketing. He began his career at Texas Instruments as an Industrial Engineer working on work measurement engineering for the defense industry. Jon is active with the Contract Packaging Association, serving for three years on the Annual Meeting Committee, including committee chair in 2015, prior to accepting a position on the Board of Directors in 2016. Mr. Hayward holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University in Clemson, SC, as well as a general management MBA from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.

Scott Carr - CEO, President

In his role as President and CEO, Carr is responsible for the overall management of the company and its divisions. This includes implementing and communicating the company's mission and core values, aligning business and customer goals, stakeholder management, along with establishing a strategic vision for growth and profitability. As a second-generation owner of the company, Scott has spent his entire life working in the logistics business. It began in 1976 working full-time for his father as an order filler on the warehouse floor. After graduating from college in 1981, he moved to a Supervisor role at their South Boulevard location. In 1982, he helped establish 2800 Corporation, the company's trucking division, to meet a need for distribution across NC from a major medical account. This included managing 16 employees, 15 tractors, and 22 trailers between two terminals in the state. In the early 90's after closing 2800 Corporation, Carr refocused his attention to marketing and sales that garnered several new customers, many of which are still with the company. During this time, he also established Bonded Pac, the packaging division, in 1993 to help diversify the company, grow revenue, and increase margins. In 2001, Scott was promoted to President as part of succession planning process for the company that included a transition from Bonded Distribution to Bonded Logistics to reflect the company's diversification. With Scott at the helm, the company has seen tremendous growth with the addition of seven buildings, expansion into two new regions, the introduction of five lines of business, and the establishment of a transportation brokerage division. Mr. Carr holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Marketing from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.

Sean Ryan

Ryan's career spans over 25 years in logistics and freight brokerage with experience in all aspects of third-party logistics from managing large national enterprise accounts, customer service, carrier development, distribution, daily operations and accounting. Bonded Transportation offers a wide range of flexible freight solutions to support its client's transportation needs and as Director, Ryan is responsible for management of the entire brokerage division, including strategic direction, execution and carrier relationships. His focus includes creating growth internally within Bonded's broad client base, identify inefficiencies, formulate action plans, implement change and set a direction to take the business to new heights by expanding external clientele. Prior to joining Bonded, Ryan spent six years as Vice President of Strategic Development and Procurement for Apex Transportation where he was charged with monitoring existing as well as new client growth and assuring a positive return on investment. He brings a wealth of industry experience in brokerage operations with stints at companies like Armstrong Transport Group as Branch Manager and Flynn Transportation as Director of Operations. Sean holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
