Alexander "Alex" Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez focuses his practice on representing health care providers in both medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. He also represents physicians, nurses, and physician assistants before their respective professional boards. In addition, over the years Alex has represented clients in a broad range of civil litigation disputes and diverse venues throughout Texas, including at both the trial court and appellate court levels. He has also given lectures on issues in his specialty of medical malpractice defense, including before students, faculty and physicians at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Alexander "Alex" Rodriguez received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998. He subsequently attended St. Mary's University School of Law and obtained his law degree within 2 ½ years. During law school, Alex was awarded the Hispanic Initiatives Scholarship and the Pat Maloney, Sr. scholarship. Additionally, while attending St. Mary's he clerked at a well respected San Antonio firm and became the senior law clerk. Following graduation, Alex joined a medical malpractice defense firm in San Antonio and developed his practice representing health care providers, as well as other clients, in all types of general civil litigation matters, including contract disputes, medical negligence, products liability, premises liability, and other personal injury matters. He also represents physicians and nurses in matters before their respective state boards. Alex joined Boone & Rocheleau in November 2009 and he was made a partner of the Firm in January 2011. He continues his representation of health care providers and other clients in civil litigation matters.

John A. Fuentes

John Fuentes brings a unique background and perspective as the newest partner of the firm. He was formerly in the Marine Corps followed by a career as a naval officer, retiring in 2003. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Texas A&M International University and, in 1999, received his law degree from Baylor University School of Law where he was the Managing Editor of the Baylor Law Review. He subsequently obtained a Master of Science in Nursing degree and a Master of Business Administration degree the University of Texas at Tyler. John has represented clients in a variety of general civil litigation matters, but he has focused much of his 20-year legal career representing health care providers of all specialties in both medical malpractice defense litigation and before their respective licensing boards. John A. Fuentes John A. Fuentes received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1995 from Texas A&M International University. Subsequently, in 1999 John received his law degree from Baylor University School of Law. Aside from his law degree John has a Master's degree in both Nursing and Business Administration. In his two decades of practice, John has represented health care providers in both litigation and administrative matters.

Lisa Rocheleau

Lisa Rocheleau received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1983 and worked as a registered nurse for over seven years before completing law school at St. Mary's School of Law in 1994. For nearly 25 years, Lisa has focused her practice in the area of medical malpractice defense and representation of doctors and nurses before their respective state boards. She represents clients in both state and federal courts and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, The DRI, and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, as well as a Fellow with the Center for Ethics and Humanities in Health Care. She is a member the American Board of Trial Advocates and is serving as the President of the San Antonio Chapter in 2019. Lisa is a Member of the San Antonio Bar Association, and a Lifetime Member of the Texas Bar Foundation, a charitable foundation whose members are nominated because of their dedication to the administration of justice and high professional standing among his or her peers. She is Board Certified in Personal Injury Law. The unique combination of her nursing and legal background offers a solid knowledge base upon which to represent her clients. The smaller firm atmosphere assures a specialized hands on approach by the lead attorney who will be handling the case throughout discovery, mediation, and trial. Representative clients include The Doctors Company, the University of Texas System, Hudson Insurance Company, Texas Medical Liability Trust, American Physicians Insurance Company, A ProAssurance Company, HCR ManorCare, Preferred Physicians Insurance Company and TDC Specialty Underwriters. When she is away from the office. Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her family and participating in IronMan triathlons. She also enjoys music and plays classical piano. Nely Trevino

Nely Trevino was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, but relocated to San Antonio, Texas when she was very young. Since then she remained in San Antonio. She has over 32 years of experience as a certified Legal Assistant. Nely's legal experience includes medical malpractice, personal injury litigation, and products liability. She has also worked for both plaintiff's firms and defense firms, which give her a unique perspective of litigation. Since joining the firm Nely has proven to be an asset in assisting our legal team with filing, coordinating and managing cases throughout the litigation process. She is a dedicated professional and her commitment to the firm and its clients is a significant factor in its success.

Pat Boone

Pat Boone, Mediator and Special Master, conducted over 1,000 mediations and arbitrations prior to assuming the Bench in 1997. He was appointed State District Judge, 57th District Court from 1997 and remained on the Bench until 2005. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law. He has continued to conduct mediations and arbitrations in virtually all areas of civil law with dedication, success, and efficiency. Pat Boone received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1976. He then earned a Master of Business Administration from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas in 1978. Pat attended law school at St. Mary's School of Law, graduating in 1984, and began his practice in general civil litigation. During his practice, he conducted over 1,000 mediations and arbitrations. He was appointed State District Judge, 57th District Court, in 1997. In 2005, Pat resigned from the Bench and has continued his active mediation and arbitration practice since that time. Pat is Board Certified in both Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, and the American Board of Trial Advocates "ABOTA." He also is an Adjunct Professor at St. Mary's University School of Law where he teaches Trial Advocacy.

Tracey Burke

Tracey Burke received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from Indiana University School of Nursing in 1989. Her vast nursing experience includes several specialties ranging from medical-surgical, telemetry, Post-Anesthesia Care unit (PACU), and surgical Intensive Care (ICU) where the majority of her nursing experience rests. She excelled as an ICU nurse, receiving the prestigious CCRN (Certified Critical Care RN) certification as well as maintaining certification as a Trauma Nurse (TNCC) since 1995. Over 10 years of her nursing career was devoted to the Trauma Surgical ICU at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, where she was nominated as Civilian Nurse of the Year in 2005. As a course director for the Emergency Nurses Association, she teaches TNCC to both military and civilian nurses on a routine basis. Tracey has also served 21 years in the United States Air Force, where she is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Reserves. Her military experience includes 4 years of Active Duty as well as experience as a Chief Nurse of an Aerospace Medicine Squadron. Tracey has been doing legal work since 1997, mostly working with defense firms assisting with medical summaries to aid in defending cases. Her wealth of nursing experience is invaluable to providing valuable insight in developing defense strategies and as a valued member of the defense team.
