The Bristol Bay Currents is a community based media effort aimed at providing news and opinion articles concerning Bristol Bay Alaska. Recently the long available Bristol Bay Times was sold to an outside interest that has now decided to consolidate it with The Dutch Harbor Fisherman. This equates to the local population losing a long relied upon news source and opinion outlet that is locally oriented in the information and services that it provides.
