Jordan is an associate attorney at Bucks County Elder Law. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts and from Rutgers Law School in Camden with a Juris Doctor. His practice areas include estate planning, estate administration, trusts, guardianships and Orphans' Court matters. Jordan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mathew D. Carrafiello in the Philadelphia Orphans' Division and additionally served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ida K. Chen in the Philadelphia Family Court Division. Prior to joining Bucks County Elder Law, Jordan worked for a law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania practicing in estate and trust matters and guardianships.

Kevin Floyd

Kevin has been an Estates Paralegal with Bucks County Elder Law for three years. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Corporate Bankruptcy Paralegal for 15 years. As Estates Paralegal, Kevin focuses on estate administration and the drafting of legal documents. He is extremely proficient in both tasks, thanks to his extensive experience, law degree and attention to detail. Kevin derives a great deal of professional and personal satisfaction from knowing that the work he does helps the firm's clients and their families. Kevin earned his B.A. from Indiana University and his J.D. from Valparaiso University. He is a member of the California State Bar.

Marie C. Carpenter

Many people are unsure what to expect when visiting a law firm for the first time. Marie immediately puts prospective and new clients at ease, explaining the planning process to them and detailing how the firm can help them achieve their goals. Blessed with the "gift of gab," Marie is a good listener and thoroughly enjoys getting to know clients well and making them feel like part of the family. In addition, Marie keeps the office humming at peak efficiency, handling a wide range of duties. She also spearheads the firm's public relations efforts. Marie has been with Bucks County Elder Law for 25 years. Marie earned her Bachelor Degree in Political Science and History from Syracuse University. She is a member of PATHS, the Professional Alliance To Help Seniors. Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Marie and her husband Henry have lived in Yardley since 1988. They have three adult children, all of whom have left the nest. Family and friends are the most important thing in the world to Marie. She enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling, cooking, and eating great food.

Nicole Bachman

Nicole Bachman joined the firm in August of 2021 as the Coordinator of Care Advocacy. She works directly with our Life Care Planning clients, community resources, and networks to build better relationships in the community. Prior to joining Bucks County Elder Law, Nicole spent over two decades working with family dynamics and program development in the child welfare field. She has extensive work history as a Medical Social Worker and Hospice Social Worker. Nicole takes great pride in working hand in hand with the clients she serves and being a support and resource during a time of need. She enjoys working in a small, family-oriented work environment that is reflected in the work she performs. Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cedar Crest College with minors in Social Work and Sociology. She continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Masters Degree in Social Work. She is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania and has obtained the Respecting Choices Advanced Care Planning Certification. She continues to build on her education by attending the Life Care Planning Certification program through Stockton University. She is a member of the Life Care Planning Law Firm Association; National Association of Social Workers; Bucks County Networking Group; Dementia Friendly Newtown Member and Bucks County Women's Networking Group among others. Nicole is a Bucks County native and returned to the area to raise her children around family. Nicole spends her free time with her husband, two sons and two dogs. She enjoys attending her children's activities, family gatherings, taking trips to the beach, baking and reading.

Whitney Shaw

Whitney Shaw joined the firm in January of 2024 as a Care Advocate. She works directly with our clients in Life Care Planning. Whitney works with community resources and networks to build strong relationships in order to meet the needs of our clients. Whitney is a Licensed Social Worker who has a diverse background in hospice, palliative care, geriatric community social work, inpatient and emergency room hospital social work, case management, and mental health counseling. Whitney is passionate about helping seniors live their lives to the fullest potential while tapping into the community resources to assist in this process. She enjoys getting to know the families she works with in order to meet their needs and support them throughout their progression of care. Whitney received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Montana. She continued her education at the University of Montana and received her Masters Degree in Social Work. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of New Jersey. Whitney obtained her Elder Law Coordinator Certificate from Stockton University. She is a member of the Life Care Planning Law Firm Association; Bucks County Networking Group and Bucks County Women's Networking Group. Outside of work, Whitney is a mother and wife who seeks out adventure. In her free time, you will likely find her sailing with her family on the Chesapeake on her Catboat, Moxie, skiing in New England, camping, or daydreaming of her next adventure.
