Aaron Scro

Aaron Scro joined Capital Value Advisors in August 2017 as a Sr. Analyst. As an Associate, Mr. Scro's primary responsibilities include executing and closing transactions involving the sale or financing of mid-market companies and supporting CVA clients through financial analysis, modeling, market outreach, industry research, and valuations. Previously, Aaron held investment banking positions at KPMG Corporate Finance and KeyBanc Capital Markets and worked in Sierra Nevada's Corporate Development group focused on buy-side mergers and acquisitions.

Alex Woolford

Alex joined the CVA team in 2018. As an Associate, Alex's primary responsibilities include supporting CVA clients across a wide range of industries, including financial analysis, modeling, market outreach, market research and valuations. Prior to accepting a role at CVA, Alex was working for FactSet Research Systems where he was responsible for presenting to chief executives, portfolio managers, analysts and traders on ways to leverage the latest financial technology to improve efficiencies in the investment process. Alex graduated from Colorado College with a B.A. in History and completed a certificate program on the fundamentals of business from Harvard Business School.

Bobby Motch

Bobby joined CVA in 2014 as an Analyst. Bobby's primary responsibilities as an Associate include executing and closing transactions involving the sale or financing of mid-market companies and supporting CVA clients through financial analysis, modeling, market outreach, industry research, and valuations. Prior to joining the team full-time, Bobby was an Analyst Intern at CVA. His primary responsibilities included financial analysis, assisting in modeling and valuation, and market research. Prior to interning at CVA, Bobby spent a summer as an Analyst Intern at Target Corporate, where his primary responsibilities included national inventory analytics and SCM research. Bobby has also worked as a Financial Analyst Intern at an automotive group in Minneapolis.

Cameron McCaslin

Cameron joined the CVA team in 2017. As an Associate, Cameron's primary responsibilities include supporting CVA clients across a wide range of industries, including financial analysis, modeling, market outreach, market research and valuations. Prior to accepting a role at CVA, Cameron was working a contract position in accounting and account analysis at Performance Food Group (PFG) where his primary responsibilities were journalizing transactions in and out of the various cash accounts and account fluctuation analysis. Before PFG, Cameron was a financial reporting intern at Janus Capital Group, where his primary responsibility was assisting the financial reporting team in the preparation of several annual and semi-annual fund performance reports.

Chris Younger - Managing Director

Chris and his business partner David Tolson formed CVA in 2005 with a mission to ensure entrepreneurs get the most out of their investment of time, energy and money in their companies. Sharing a passion for what entrepreneurs mean to our community, Chris and David felt they could do a better job for entrepreneurs and have had a great time helping clients ever since. Prior to CVA, Chris spent more than 20 years gaining experience in executive management, marketing, sales, transactions, and law. Chris helped found and was the President of Expanets, the nation's largest provider of converged communications solutions. During his tenure with Expanets, Chris led the acquisition and integration of 27 companies, ranging in size from $2 million to over $1 billion in annual revenues, and helped lead Expanets through a significant turnaround during a turbulent time in the communications industry, leading to its acquisition by Avaya in late 2003. Chris has also invested in and started other companies in communications, construction and consulting. Prior to Expanets, Chris was an associate with the law firm of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati. Chris's board memberships have included the Association for Corporate Growth - Denver, the Enterprise Communications Association, the Telecommunications Industry Association, ChanneLynx, Popular Telephony, FutureProof Communications, Silvercloud Construction Group, Castle Pines Village Design Review Committee, BidBridge Colorado, South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, and the Dove Valley Metropolitan District. Chris was previously named one of Denver's Top "40 Under 40" business leaders by the Denver Business Journal, and during his tenure at Harvard, Chris was the Managing Editor for the Harvard Law Review. Additionally, he is the co-author with David Tolson of the book Harvest: The Definitive Guide To Selling Your Company, and has been published in ColoradoBiz magazine and the Denver Business Journal.

Danielle Sanders

Danielle joined CVA in 2012 and is a Sr Associate. Danielle's primary responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of client transactions including valuation, capital planning, pre-market preparations, market interface, due diligence management and deal execution. She is also involved in financial analysis, modeling, market research and client valuations. Danielle has transactional experience managing and supporting a variety of client engagements including pre-transaction preparedness services, majority and minority recapitalizations, leveraged and management buyouts and strategic acquisitions. She has specific experience in the following industries: construction, business services, food and beverage, distribution, healthcare, consumer products, technology and insurance services.

Danny Parkinson - VP

Danny Parkinson joined Capital Value Advisors in March 2015 and is a Vice President. Mr. Parkinson's primary responsibilities include executing and closing transactions involving the sale or financing of mid-market companies across a broad range of industries. He is also involved in financial analysis, modeling, market research, and client valuations. Previously, Danny worked as an Investment Banking Analyst and Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at KPMG Corporate Finance (formerly known as St. Charles Capital). At KPMG and St. Charles, Danny specialized in sell-side and buy-side advisory assignments for financial service companies.

David Tolson - Managing Director

David founded CapitalValue performing business valuations in 2002, and he and his business partner Chris Younger formed CVA (the investment bank) in 2005 with a mission to ensure entrepreneurs get the most out of their investment of time, energy and money in their companies. Sharing similar values and a passion for helping entrepreneurs, David and Chris felt they could do a better job for entrepreneurs and have had a great time helping clients ever since. Prior to CVA, David was the lead business development officer responsible for developing growth and exit strategies for several technology based start-ups in Colorado. David also led a strategic business unit at JD Edwards. Prior to JD Edwards, David spent eight years at TEAM A.T.E., a capital equipment dealer that provides appraisals and sales of capital equipment used in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards and semiconductors. David is widely regarded as an expert in middle market private company valuations, having completed more than 500 valuations across dozens of industries. Additionally, he is the co-author, along with Chris Younger, of the book Harvest: The Definitive Guide To Selling Your Company, and has been published in ColoradoBiz magazine and The Denver Business Journal. Professionally, David is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers. David holds the CBA (Certified Business Appraiser) designation, which is awarded to those who have successfully completed rigorous educational and testing requirements and are then certified by a highly critical peer review process. David has been recognized as a Distinguished Member of the Institute of Business Appraisers for his commitment to the valuation profession. David is the founding Chairman of Colorado Companies to Watch, and is involved with the University of Colorado Alumni Association, Colorado State University Alumni Association, Sigma Chi Alumni Association, and Beta Gamma Sigma (National Business Honor Society for graduate level studies).

John Eansor

In his current role as a Sr Analyst, John's responsibilities include helping our clients through market research and valuations, market outreach, and financial modeling and analysis. Prior to joining CVA, John held intern positions in a variety of industries, including software development, real estate finance, and medical device engineering.

Kristin Vanderloos - CMO

Kristin joined CVA in 2019 as a Marketing Director. Kristin's primary responsibilities include overseeing the marketing and assisting in the application development of CoPilot TM , an online startup on behalf of CVA that helps business owners and CEO's identify and resolve risk within their companies. In addition, she is responsible for the external brand and messaging for CVA and CVA Family Office, the asset management arm of CapitalValue. Prior to joining CVA, Kristin was a freelance graphic designer with experience spanning across a multitude of industries and company sizes on a local, national and international level. She's had the opportunity to work with companies like The Denver Zoo, Pinnacol Assurance, NREL, Coca-Cola, T-Mobile, Deloitte, and National Geographic.

Matthew Petterson

Matthew joined the CVA team in 2019. Matthew's primary responsibilities include supporting CVA clients across a wide range of industries, including financial analysis, modeling, market outreach, market research, and valuations. Previously, Matthew worked as an Associate at North Sky Capital, a Minneapolis-based private markets investment firm, where he was responsible for assessing potential private equity investments, monitoring existing investments, and researching industry data. He also assisted in the firm's fundraising and marketing activities. Matthew graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics.

Peter Bessone

Peter joined the CVA team in May 2018. Peter's primary responsibilities include supporting CVA clients across a wide range of industries, including financial analysis, modeling, market outreach, market research and valuations. Prior to accepting a role at CVA, Peter worked at Brown Brothers Harriman in the firm's Boston office. He graduated from the University of Denver with a B.S. in Finance and a focus in Accounting. Peter currently is a board member of Make-A-Wish Colorado's Young Professional Advisory Council.

Zack Gibson

Zack joined CVA in 2008. As Principal of CVA, Zack's primary responsibilities include leading, executing and closing transactions involving the sale or financing of mid-market clients across a broad range of industries. He is also involved in financial analysis, modeling, market research and valuations. Zack has worked with over 35 clients on transactions at CVA. Previously, Zack worked with Hopen Life Science Ventures, a venture capital firm in Grand Rapids focused on early-to mid-stage life science investments. At Hopen, Zack was responsible for valuation, due diligence and analysis of potential investment opportunities including initial review of submitted business plans. Zack is fluent in Spanish. Zack has transactional experience managing and supporting a variety of client engagements including pre-transaction preparedness services, majority and minority recapitalizations, leveraged and management buyouts, strategic acquisitions and capital formation transactions. He has practical experience in a broad spectrum of industries including consumer products, food and beverage, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and industrial and business services.
