CASA 2100

CASA Systems 2100 is an agricultural service company that uses satellite imagery to forecast and monitor crop production anywhere on the globe. Corn, soybeans, wheat, potato, grapes (vineyards), almonds, hay, and rangeland forage production are the major commodities for which annual yield is projected from NASA satellite data. Impacts of climate change are modeled and reported for changes in crop yield and irrigation water demand at the microclimate or field scale. Global warming is factored into predictions of future cropland production. California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and the Midwestern (Midwest corn belt) states have all been monitored for crop production by CASA 2100. Sequestration of soil carbon and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions with new management techniques are modeled by CASA 2100.
