It is hard for us to believe that we opened our first store in 1980! And so, we are celebrating our 40th season in business this year. Peggy Parker has owned and operated Christmas Creations since its inception. It was born out of Country Creations, a country store featuring her handmade items. She was approached by a mall manager to see if she would consider opening a Christmas Store. It was so popular and she enjoyed it so much, she decided to devote her full attention to Christmas Creations. She laughs that she only works 2 months out of the year, but in reality, as soon as the store is packed up, she is off buying and preparing for the next Christmas season. Christmas Creations was originally opened in her hometown of Bloomington, Illinois. She has had stores in Bloomington/Normal every year since, in addition to surrounding areas.
