Attorney Steven Z. Cohen has been a managing partner of his own law firm since 1979. He continues as the senior partner of the firm in its current form, Cohen, Lerner & Rabinovitz, P.C., overseeing the professional and business aspects of the practice. In the courtroom, he focuses on civil, commercial, and franchise litigation, as well as labor and employment law, and personal injury.
Attorney Steven Z. Cohen founded his first law firm as a new attorney in 1979. While the name and structure of the firm have changed over the years, Mr. Cohen's commitment to his clients, and his firm, has not. In 1998, Cohen and Attorney Joshua A. Lerner established Cohen Lerner & Rabinovitz, P.C., in its present form. Candace V. Yono has been practicing in the State of Michigan since 2012. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. While attending the University of Detroit Mercy law school, Ms. Yono clerked from the Honorable Judge Leo Bowman of the Oakland County Circuit Court. She served on the Moot Court team and participated in the Patrick A. Keenan Appellate Advocacy Competition.
As a corporate transaction attorney, Ms. Yono advocates on behalf of entrepreneurs and businesses. Her background in business education provides her an in-depth understanding of the practical aspects of running a company. She is an active member of the bar, serving on the Board of Directors for the Oakland County Bar Association's New Lawyers Committee and as the Vice President of the Chaldean American Bar Association. In 2016 she was named a dBusiness Top Lawyer in Corporate Law.

Mr. Lerner has over 20 years of experience representing clients in Michigan and Illinois. He has litigated over 50 civil trials and has argued before the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court. Mr. Lerner is also admitted to practice federal courts including the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan and United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Lerner served as a television producer. There he learned the importance of putting people first. He uses this expertise to help his clients, working with them to find the best way to reach an optimal result based on their priorities. He is also a frequent lecturer for the Striker Bar Association and the Wolverine Bar Association. He has also served as a panelist for the Attorney Discipline Board for the State Bar of Michigan since 2000.

Kevin B. Hirsch is a partner at Cohen Lerner & Rabinovitz. He specializ es in large-scale commercial and employment litigation. With over 19 years of litigation experience, Hirsch has practiced in state and federal courts in Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota and California, as well as before administrative agencies, including the NLRB and EEOC. Hirsch has successfully handled numerous bench trials, jury trials, mediations and arbitrations. Hirsch has managed various commercial, construction, employment and intellectual property cases including claims for breach of contract, shareholder oppression, breach of fiduciary duty, defamation, breach of non-compete, trademark infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets. He has counseled automotive clients in all aspects of their relationships with troubled suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and avoid plant shutdowns and has provided strategic counseling on employment issues that arise on a daily basis in the workplace, including leave issues, requests for reasonable accommodations, employee misconduct, performance issues, threats of violence and social media attacks by employees.
