Ian assumed the role of Chairman in June 2022.
Ian started in the Marine Industry as a deckhand. He worked on the water until 2005 when he took an opportunity ashore. He started his shoreside management role focusing on developing Harken's training and safety programs. In 2006 he shifted into a dispatch/logistic coordinator role where he refined these
skills for 10 years. For the last 7 years Ian has managed Harken Towing staff and crew as their General Manager.
Paul joined the CMC in February 2022. His career in the marine industry has spanned 40 years in various positions both at sea and onshore in operations support and senior management roles, He began his maritime career in the local fishing industry but early on moved into the marine transportations sector, primarily in the local tug and barge industry in both deck and engine room capacities.
Paul shoreside operations experience include time working locally and internationally in the offshore industry, shipbuilding, and specialized heavy lift marine transports. Paul has held positions in Dispatch, Port Captains, Chartering and most recently in Executive Management.
He has a wide array of knowledge in operations, engineering, training, and management systems including International Safety Management (ISM), Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Quality Management System (ISO 9001).

Preeti comes to the CMC having spent the last number of years in a similar role within the BC home construction industry. Prior to that Preeti was employed in the health care industry both as a Hospital Administrator and Staff Nurse.
