Adopt-a-Star Rescue is an active project of the Asher Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Adopt-a-Star primarily rescues greyhounds from Arizona; however, we will also help place from other areas of the country. We focus on placements primarily in Southen California; however, will ship to other areas and rescues as needed... Adopt-a-Star Rescue is the greyhound rescue and adoption agency project of The Asher Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity, operating out of Los Angeles. Adopt-a-Star Rescue focuses on rescuing and placing retired racing greyhounds in homes throughout southern California. While we are based in Los Angeles (Westwood), we work throughout the valleys and beach communities (Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo and others).
