In September 2000, Anita joined Cunningham Powell Alexander, A.C. as the front desk receptionist and processor. In her current position, she is responsible for the preparation of payrolls, accounts payable, monthly and quarterly tax returns for several clients. She assists in the everyday processing of client data.
She works with the partners on special projects to track client service and employee performance. She has numerous firm responsibilities that include accounts payable, client billing and client payment entry.
Previously she was employed with Susan M. (Aronhalt) Graziani, CPA as an accountant's assistant. There, she learned the preparation of payrolls, accounts payable, monthly and quarterly tax returns and the processing of individual and business tax returns.
Anita resides in Preston County with her husband Curtis.

Dan is a graduate of West Virginia University (1982, B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting emphasis). Dan earned his CPA in February 1985. He began his career with the firm in October 1985, and was admitted as a shareholder in 1997. Dan earned his Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) from the AICPA in 2013. Dan serves mostly the business clients of the firm, focusing on benchmarking and profitability. Dan has assisted clients from startup to succession to the next owners.
Dan lives in Morgantown with his wife of 35 years, the former Mary Sereno. Dan has two children and has five grandchildren.
Daniel was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia. Daniel studied accounting at West Virginia University, where he proudly graduated Summa Cum Laude.
He is actively involved in his church Reformation OPC, which he has attended since childhood.
In January 2016, Dawn Lockard joined the Cunningham Powell Alexander family as a Bookkeeper and entry level Accountant. She is proficient in QuickBooks online, QuickBooks desktop, Accounting Creative Solutions, Ultra Tax, & and many different online payroll tax programs. Dawn, has strong computer application and initialization mindset which allows her to complete many different operations for CPA including: General Ledger maintenance, Quarterly Financial Statements, Compilations, Quarterly filings, Payroll processing and Tax payments, and Tax return preparation.
Dawn Lockard lives in Pendleton County West Virginia with her husband and four children. In 2001, she graduate from Pendleton County High School in Franklin West Virginia. Fall 2013, Dawn graduated from Eastern WV Community & Technical College with AAS in Business Management and Certificate in Accounting; followed by, graduating in Spring 2014 with AAS in Accounting and an AS in Science with concentration on Business. In Spring 2015, she graduated for Franklin University with both BA in Accounting and in Forensic Accounting. November 2017, Dawn finished her MS in accounting from American Public University. Since completing her Master's Degree, Dawn plans on sitting for the CPA exam and finalizing her certifications.
According to Dawn, "I came to CPA to learn strategies and gain experience, but I currently feel I am gaining more than the preparation to finally complete my longtime dream of becoming a CPA. I have found a company that encourages teamwork and does a great job of providing services and taking care of the many client's needs. I am proud to be part of the excellent team which encourages me to be the best I can in the accounting field."

Mr. Alexander is the Director of the Private Wealth Management Division of the CPA firm Cunningham Powell Alexander, A.C. in Morgantown, W.V. He is one of few Certified Financial Planner® practitioners actively practicing in the Morgantown area on a fee basis.
His office strives to meet the needs of the relationships of the families entrusted to him with care and devotion and a genuine friendship.

In August of 2019, Karen Brickey became part of the Cunningham Powell Alexander family, adding just over 30 years of bookkeeping experience to the team. She is proficient in Peachtree, QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Versus, Point of Rental and Microsoft Office. Karen comes to CPA with the background of a full charge bookkeeper in a variety of business fields, including construction, land surveying, retail, rental and the oil industry. Karen's skills and knowledge have been instrumental in helping clients with their bookkeeping and software training and keeping their financials in order. Karen is also instrumental in processing payroll and payroll quarterlies and year-end tax prep.
She was born and raised in a small town in Connecticut and is the youngest of eight. She is the mother of three sons, who have given her four precious grandchildren to dote on. When she isn't working, she enjoys crocheting. She also enjoys the blessing of giving to those in need.
