DBASS - Key Persons
Adriana joined DBASS in 2014 following completion of her BA in Accounting and Finance and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in November 2017. She also obtained her Chartered Tax Consultant diploma in 2020. She is currently working as a Senior Accountant, within our small to medium enterprise department
Alex joined DBASS in May 2023 having previously worked as an Inspector of Taxes with the Revenue Commissioners before going on to work in the private sector in a number of roles.
Alex has worked across a wide range of tax areas, specialising in Personal Tax and VAT. Alex currently heads up the Personal Tax Compliance Section in DBASS and assists with various queries as they arise across other Taxheads.
When I'm not working
Alex has a keen interest in most sports and music, playing the occasional round of golf and attending concerts and shows as much as possible. Alex is married with three children and enjoys wider family gatherings taking on the role of "Head Chef" for such occasions at home.
Ann manages our reception area and is responsible for meeting and greeting all of our valued clients and visitors to the DBASS offices. Ann joined the team in 2009 and is an integral part of DBASS. Her knowledge of our systems and her experience dealing with client queries makes her invaluable to the DBASS team.

When Ann is not working she enjoys a bracing walk along the lovely sea-front in her home town of Skerries and she is a keen gym attendee.
Barbara joined DBASS in February 2015 as Company Secretary Administrator. She is responsible for assisting our clients with the setup of new companies, ensuring annual returns are filed in a timely manner, advising on share transfers, and assisting the Tax Department with the restructuring of companies.
When I'm not working
Barbara has 3 children, which keeps her very busy. In her free time, she likes attending fitness classes and participating in her favourite hobby, Shopping!!!
Claire joined DBASS in October 2018 and is a qualified Certified Public Accountant. She is currently studying towards becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Irish Tax Institute.
Claire holds the position of Tax Senior and works within our tax department. She is a dedicated individual who is passionate about assisting clients with their tax affairs. Her enthusiastic and personable approach helps ensure that clients are aware of their tax compliance requirements as well as potential tax planning opportunities available.
When I'm not working
When Claire is not working she enjoys walking her dog in the countryside and travelling. She is also a keen home baker
Cody joined DBASS in June 2019 following completion of her Degree in Economics, Politics and Law from DCU. She is a newly qualified Chartered Accountant (March 2024), within our small to medium enterprise department.
When I'm not working
When Cody is not working she enjoys the great outdoors and going to exercise classes.
Colm joined DBASS in July 2023 having completed his Accounting and Finance degree at DKIT.
He is currently working as a trainee accountant in our accounts department while working towards eventual qualification as a Chartered Accountant.
When I'm not working
When Colm is not working he loves watching sports, in particular GAA and attends matches every weekend.

Daniel joined DBASS as a trainee accountant in 1999 and currently works as a Manager within the SME accounts team.
As a qualified Chartered Accountant Daniel provides advice and mentoring to SME's in a broad range of sectors including bloodstock, professional services and rental property.
His experience covers audit and accounting, taxation, bank finance and business mentoring
When I'm not working
When Daniel is not working he enjoys playing golf and hill walking. He also enjoys watching football (soccer) and Formula 1 motor racing and has been fortunate enough to attend a few Formula 1 races on occasion.
Dermot established DBASS (then known as Dermot Brennan & Associates )in 1988. As a qualified Chartered Accountant with many years experience in practice, Dermot offers our clients the benefit of his extensive knowledge to assist with the growth and development of their business.
Dermot heads the firm's Advisory Department and shares his extensive knowledge of business strategy to help our clients grow their businesses and to improve their performance and profitability. Our clients benefit from Dermot's practical no-nonsense approach to doing business.
As an experienced accountant Dermot is available to our clients as a sounding board for their ideas. He offers them the benefit of his extensive experience and his in-depth knowledge of their individual businesses.
Dermot offers practical solutions, based on an in-depth knowledge of our client's businesses as well as offering them a more holistic approach to business which includes lean management and wellness concepts.
Donal joined DBASS in February 2018 and is a Qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. He currently works on audit and non-audit assignments for SME's across various sectors.
His experience covers areas such as accounts preparation, tax returns and a variety of bookkeeping tasks including on-site support to our client's accounting departments.
When I'm not working
When Donal is not working he enjoys playing GAA Football and loves to get out for a round of golf in the summer time.
Elaine joined DBASS in October 2021 following completion of her Accounting Technician Ireland course. She is currently working along side our experienced staff as she completes her training to become a qualified Chartered Accountant.
When I'm not working
When Elaine is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and visiting her native Co. Cork.
Eoghan is a long standing member of DBASS having joined the team in June 2003. He holds a BA in Economics and Politics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and is a Chartered Tax Consultant (CTC) and Chartered Accountant (FCA).
As Taxation Manager, Eoghan works across the practice ensuring tax compliance for all of our clients. He provides taxation and commercial advice and is responsible for formulating plans to meet our client's needs in the most efficient manner.
Eoghan is highly experienced in the area of wealth management for companies and individuals, including succession and wealth distribution. He is particularly knowledgeable in the Construction, Logistics and Services Sectors.
When I'm not working
When Eoghan is not working he enjoys spending time with family, gardening, hiking and listening to music. He is also fond of the odd podcast and is an avid supporter of both GAA and Rugby.
Giuliano joined DBASS in September 2020 having completed his degree in Accountancy & Finance from Dundalk Institute Of Technology. He is currently working as a Trainee Accountant along side our experienced staff within the tax department. He aims to complete his training and to become a qualified Chartered Accountant with ACA.
When I'm not working
When Giuliano is not working he enjoys going to the gym and playing badminton.
Jacky has gained extensive HR experience over the course of her career with HR and Business Support positions across a range of industries. Through her previous experience Jacky has developed a strong passion for people and culture, recruitment and strategy development. Jacky places friendly and engaging culture of DBASS as one of the most important aspects of working here.
One of Jacky's favourite quotes is "Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress: Working hard for something we love is called passion."
When I'm not working
When Jacky is not working she is the Chief Operations Officer for her own little company which is made up of one husband, three daughters and one son who all take it in turns to keep her very busy.
Joe joined DBASS in 2006 and provides essential administrative support to the wider organisation. Joe's role is very diverse and covers assisting the accounts team with processing and payment of invoices, event support etc.
Lauren joined DBASS in January 2022 following completion of an accounting technician programme. She is a qualified ATI and is currently sitting her ACCA exams.
Within DBASS, Lauren works as a trainee accountant within a team preparing Audit and Non Audit accounts.
When I'm not working
When Lauren is not working she enjoys going out to restaurants and café's, keeping fit and healthy and enjoying time with her friends and family.
Louise joined DBASS in February 2018 as Company Bookeeper. She is a Qualified FCCA Accountant and her responsibilities include offering bookkeeping & payroll duties to our clients. She has extensive experience in the manufacturing and technology sectors.
When I'm not working
When Louise is not working she enjoys being outdoors exercising, family days out & catching up with friends.
Melissa joined DBASS in 2004 as a trainee, with a First Class Honours Degree in Business Studies & Accounting from the Institute Of Technology ,Tallaght.
Since obtaining her qualification as a Chartered Accountant in 2008 and qualification as a Chartered Tax Consultant in 2012 Melissa has become an integral part of the DBASS team.
She now manages her own busy team who look after a portfolio of our SME clients. Melissa has expertise in all areas of the firm from auditing, financial reporting and tax advice.
Over her years in practice Melissa has gained considerable experience in a number of sectors, most notably the property and construction sectors.

When Melissa is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and Is a loyal supporter of the Dublin GAA Team.

Michael is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years' experience in professional practice and works with and supports a variety of business types including start-ups, established businesses through to international businesses operating in Ireland.
Michael began his training with DBASS following completion of a Degree in Business Management from Trinity College.
He has since completed numerous Audit, Tax and Business Management courses.
Michael heads the firms Compliance Department and is responsible for assisting clients with their accounts and statutory audits.
As an experienced business advisor Michael offers bespoke tax consultancy services to our clients, ensuring that the service is about much more than just compliance. Michael offers tax restructuring and retirement planning services, and as a qualified insolvency practitioner advises on business restructuring.
Nazareth joined DBASS in August 2023 following completion of her Accounting and Finance degree from International College of Dublin. She is currently working as a trainee accountant in our Tax Department while working towards eventual qualification as a Chartered Accountant with ACCA.
When I'm not working
When Nazareth is not working she enjoys sailing and hiking and spending quality time at home reading Spanish novels or cooking.

Paul is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant with over 20 years' experience in practice. He has a wide experience, across a range of business sectors from drinks and hospitality, agri-foods, to road transport and haulage.
Paul works with a variety of clients of all sizes and is responsible for assisting them with their business operations, Revenue audits and estate planning, as well as providing assistance with financial applications and complex debt restructuring.
Paul provides an open and honest service for our clients, and aims to offer practical advice when it is required, not just when it is requested. He offers peace of mind in the present but also the opportunity to consider how a client's business may develop into the future.
In doing so clients are able to sound out their ideas and discuss possible developments while benefitting from Paul's extensive experience and knowledge of their business. Paul's experience allows him to assist our clients with next generation planning which is essential to not only the welfare of a client's business but also their family.
Shireen joined DBASS in September 2020 and is a qualified Chartered Accountant having gained her qualification in 2018. She currently works on audit and non-audit accounts for SME's across various sectors, particularly the construction sector.
When I'm not working
When Shireen is not working she enjoys spending time and socialising with family and friends, as well as outdoor adventures with her rescue dog Wafer.
Sive joined DBASS in January 2019 and is responsible for all of the marketing, event and communications activities at DBASS. She holds a BA in Business and Marketing and a Graduate Diploma in IT and has both digital marketing and graphic design skills.
Sive has worked in a variety of marketing roles across a wide range of sectors including construction, healthcare and finance and is highly knowledgeable in the areas of branding, event management, social media, design and market segmentation.
When I'm not working
When Sive is not working she enjoys pilates, reading and scenic walks. She also enjoys volunteering in her local community and with her children's school PA groups.
Stephen joined DBASS in September 2021 following completion of his Masters in Accounting from DCU. He is currently working as a Trainee Accountant within our Tax department along side our experienced staff as he completes his training to become a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is also plans to qualify as a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Irish Tax Institute ahead of his final ACA exams.

When Stephen is not working he enjoys walks and playing tennis with friends.

Susan joined DBASS in June 2018 and is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. She currently works on the preparation of accounts for SME's and has extensive experience in the Retail sector. Susan qualified in Ireland and worked here for a number of years in industry before taking her talents to the Big Apple to work in practice for over 10 years. Upon her return she dedicated herself to not only her new born twins but also working practice.
When I'm not working
Outside of work Susan is a member and treasurer of Ratoath Wheelers Cycling Club and is a gym regular. She is also a long term volunteer within her parish, when she is not busy ferrying her 2 young daughters to their many activities.
