D & G Excavating, Inc. is a family owned and operated earth moving business serving the southwest corner of Minnesota. Since 1979, D & G Excavating has been specializing in general and commercial excavation, sitework, and the supply and delivery of aggregate material, including decorative rock and pulverized black dirt. We strive to complete projects on time with a focus on customer satisfaction and employee retention... D & G Excavating, Inc. was established in 1979 by Dave and Sharon Gruhot. For nearly two decades, Dave had worked for local contractors including Deutz & Crow Sand & Gravel, and Dwire Inc. before starting D & G Excavating. D & G had very humble beginnings, starting with just 2 employees, an International dump truck, a Poclain excavator, and a Caterpillar 950 loader, which the company still owns and operates today. The business was truly a family operation, headquartered out of the basement of Dave and Sharon's residence until they built their current office building..
