Daniel J. Delaney is the founder and CEO of the Delaney Policy Group (DPG). Harvard-trained with more than 20 years of state legislative, regulatory, and advocacy experience; Daniel brings a rare combination of elite policy expertise, hands-on experience, and a facility for effective communication to his work. As head of the Delaney Policy Group, Daniel, along with partners from Beacon Strategies Group, became the first registered lobbyists to enter the Massachusetts regulated cannabis industry as government relations professionals. In the subsequent decade, he has led or influenced some of the most critical decisions made in that arena. Prior to launching his own firm, Daniel served for 5 years at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in the roles of Director of Strategic Planning and Director of Intergovernmental Relations and Legislative where he oversaw legislative affairs and strategic policy development.
