Amy J. Hall - COO

Since 1997, Amy has enjoyed a fruitful career in the commercial real estate industry, involved in both ground up development of master planned communities, enclosed regional shopping centers and established retail shopping centers. As Caton Commercial's COO, Amy oversees the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of Caton. Prior to joining Caton she led the development and leasing divisions for another commercial real estate firm. Hall has extensive experience in ground up and repositioning of retail assets, commercial real estate transaction negotiations, commercial property management, staff architecture, performance management and optimization, sales and leadership training and development, business line creation, strategic planning, tactical implementation, and budgeting and forecasting. Professional development and continuing education are Hall's passions. Since 2005 she has helped to educate, mentor, coach and train hundreds of industry professionals for both employers and industry associations, such as CAR, CCIM, the Goldie Initiative and ICSC. She is a commercial real estate industry thought leader; actively participating in various industry conferences and educational institutes. She currently serves on the board of directors for CCIM IL Chapter, the Goldie Initiative, and the ICSC Foundation. As an active member of the community and philanthropic supporter, she serves as an officer, and past president, of PEO IL Chapter MV (a women's philanthropic educational organization), on the fundraising committee for the O'Brien School for the Maasai, and served as a board of director for the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra. Barbara Montes

Barbara Montes is the Managing Director of Caton Property Management LLC. She assists ownership on an executive level with the oversight of the property management operations and providing guidance to staff, due diligence, training, assessment of operations, assisting with property performance evaluation, repositioning properties, creating standard operating procedures, budget preparation, market studies, and filing for Energy Star and other sustainable building certifications such as the IREM Certified Sustainable Property. Prior to starting with Caton Property Management, Barbara was the founder of APT Property Management Consulting, LLC. As a consultant, Barbara worked closely with investors and owners of commercial and multifamily real estate assets to assist them with many of the facets of property management. Prior to starting her own consulting firm, Barbara Montes was Senior Managing Director for Kennedy Wilson Properties Group. She oversaw a large portion of the company's national fee-managed multifamily portfolio and was responsible for the management and leasing of more than seven million square feet of office, retail and multifamily properties. She also supervised the management, leasing, construction, and accounting activities of the properties in her Midwest region. Barbara Montes was responsible for all financial and technical services in Kennedy Wilson's Chicago office and oversaw human resources and payroll administration for property and regional personnel. During her 29+ years of real estate management experience, Barbara has had the privilege of training and working closely with some of the most prestigious marketing firms in the country. Barbara has extensive experience in strategically directing lease-ups of luxury multifamily high rises, garden-style properties, and property rehab and repositions from construction to stabilization. Furthermore, she has overseen the management of student housing communities throughout the country. Prior to being promoted to Senior Managing Director, Ms. Montes was the Marketing Director for Kennedy Wilson for seven years and taught apartment leasing classes throughout the country.

Daniel J. Dolan has been associated with Dolan & Murphy, now the Dolan and Murphy Team of Caton Commercial Real Estate Group since April of 2006. Dan received his Real Estate license in 2006 and specializes in the listing and sale of industrial properties in the Fox Valley area as well as commercial sales and leasing. In 2010, Daniel was asked to serve on the Board of Directors of Joseph Corporation, a position which he currently holds. In 2007, Daniel became a member of the Aurora Kiwanis Club and was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for a 3-year term. Daniel T. Dolan

Before joining Caton Commercial Real Estate Group as the Dolan and Murphy Team, Daniel T. Dolan, was President of of Dolan & Murphy, Inc.. Dolan and Murphy is a family team that Daniel T. Dolan has been a part of since 1973. Daniel received his Real Estate license in 1974. He was awarded his CCIM designation by the Realtors National Marketing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, in May of 1982. Dolan was on the Board of Directors of the Northern Illinois CCIM Chapter for a period of four years and served as its President in 1987. Dolan was directly involved in the organization of the Real Estate Consortium, and very actively involved nationally in creating regionalization of CCIM Chapters under the guidelines of the Realtors National Marketing Institute. In 1994, Dolan was solicited to be on the Board of Directors of NICAR (Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors). This newly formed Board of Realtors was designed to provide Commercial Real Estate practitioners with professional, educational, and legislative services not available from any other centralized source, operating as a clearing house for industry information and activity. In 1997, Dolan was asked to serve on the Board of Directors of Harris Bank-Aurora, a position which he held for 12 years. In 1999, Dolan was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, and as Chairman of the Economic Development Group comprising of Development and Public Works, Legislative Action and Central City Development. Dolan was appointed and served as Chairman of the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce 2002-2003. In 2004, Dolan was asked to join the Seize The Future Foundation Board of Directors in conjunction with the Aurora Economic Development Corporation, a position he still holds. In 1981, Dolan began syndicating real estate in the form of Private Illinois Limited Partnerships. He structured the acquisition of several neighborhood shopping centers, office buildings, and industrial complexes. In the early 1990's Dolan began forming several land partnerships to purchase, develop, and build several retail, office and specialty-use buildings and continues to do so to this date. In May of 1999, Dolan established Dolan & Murphy Management, L.L.C. to provide Management Services for his partnerships and others throughout Aurora and the Fox Valley, and currently manages approximately 1 million square feet of retail, office and industrial properties. Eddie Palacios was also responsible for the growth of many developments and businesses for retail and restaurant startups. He has also successfully represented small retail and franchises in their expansion goals. Eddie has extensive experience and expertise with municipalities and village officials to help his clients with land acquisitions, sales, leasing, TIF, and tax reductions. Industry veteran, Joe Herron, brings 20 years of experience in retail tenant representation and in the leasing of retail commercial property. Prior to his time at Caton Commercial, Joseph Herron was instrumental in the pre-leasing of various power centers from initial inception to construction within the Chicago area's newest suburban retail corridors. Joseph Herron has also successfully represented several retail tenants in executing their expansion efforts throughout the city of Chicago and its suburbs. Some of his past clients have included Dunkin Donuts, American Sale, Macy's Inc., Bridgestone/Firestone, and Buona Restaurants, as well as numerous other retail concepts. From negotiating over 200 retail leases in excess of 20,000 SF to implementing Red Robin's urban concept multiple store roll-out as they tested their first units in downtown Chicago, Joe Herron serves as a knowledgeable resource to Caton Commercial's team and clients. Joseph Herron has also created and currently manages a national broker network focused on corporate disposition efforts on behalf of 7-Eleven, Inc. in 45 states. Matthew E. Drane

Throughout his career, Matthew has collaborated with hundreds of investment sales agents and loan originators nationwide, transacted north of $400MM of sales and has brokered or acquired (directly or indirectly) over 50 commercial assets. As an investor, he is actively acquiring and improving existing real estate (commercial and residential), purchasing mortgage notes and developing land (urban and rural). Prior to commercial real estate, Matthew contributed to the growth of several organizations, including two Fortune 500 companies. Over the years, he has developed an impressive track record of closing multi-million dollar transactions and managing client relationships throughout the U.S., Middle East and Europe. Randy Petri

Roger Chavez

Roger Chavez brings 15 years of property management experience to Caton Commercial Real Estate Group, joining the firm from Key Investment & Management in Lombard, IL, where he served as a Commercial Property Manager and Broker Associate. Roger is responsible for managing and leasing residential, office, retail, and industrial properties; negotiating commercial leases; and supervising maintenance and capital improvement projects. At Caton Commercial, Roger handles the day to day operations for property management including contracting building maintenance, financial performance analysis, and responding to tenant and client needs. Roger Chavez performs regular property inspections, ensures the property is secure, and responds to emergencies. In addition, he oversees the collection of rent and security deposits, prepares monthly management reports, performs CAM reconciliations, and conducts move-in and move-out inspections. Ryan is a 1991 graduate of Aurora Central Catholic High School and attended Waubonsee Community College and Kishwaukee College, respectively. In early November, 1999, Ryan completed coursework and obtained his broker's license. Ryan has specialized in the sales and leasing of Commercial and Industrial property in and around the Fox Valley Area, as well as the listing and sales of farm and development land sites. Ryan oversees in excess of half a million square feet of Commercial, Industrial and Office property plus several hundred acres of farm and development land owned by Dolan & Murphy partnerships. Steve Caton

Steve Caton joined Caton Commercial Real Estate in 2003 after graduating from Purdue University. Steve entered the business with a focus on retail and industrial leasing, evolving from there to sales of income producing assets, adding developer services shortly thereafter. Following the financial crisis of 2008, Steve shifted to the disposition of REO assets for local, regional, and national banks, as well as distressed sales for private owners. He has advised or represented properties for multiple banks including Wells Fargo, MB Financial, The Private Bank, First Community Bank of Joliet, First Merit Bank, Helios, Marquette Bank, Princeton National, and Inland Bank. As the economy rebounded, Steve evolved his business efforts into tenant representation in both the retail and medical office sectors. He has more recently partnered with the German Co-Living Company, Quarters, on their US expansion. He has completed deals for Quarters in Washington DC, Austin, and Chicago. Steve has also expanded his representation of innovative multi-family concept operators into short term rental spaces, working with Trove and Kasa. His understanding of co-living markets has enabled him to assist Node-Living out of London and Toronto, and Miles out of LA with finding locations for their brands. Steve has raised capital for syndicated investor groups in the retail sector and has recently partnered with Elk Development on multi-family solo suites projects in LA and Nashville as a co-GP. Steve has also sourced and placed debt for ground up projects, as well as partnered in a development company that delivers turn-key build-to-suit corporate 7-Eleven's in the US. In addition, Steve has an investment group that buys corporate single tenant retail and medical office spaces and completes lease restructuring for value-add. Currently, Steve has put together a group developing corporate urgent care deals, Advanced Care, and corporate Surgery and Ambulatory centers for the publicly traded company Healthcare Solutions Holding Co, recently completing transactions in Utah and Texas. Steve also consults with municipalities for the development of their downtowns and to advise on attracting developments and businesses. He has represented the Village of Winfield, IL in their downtown redevelopment and has acted in an advisory capacity to Joliet, IL as well. Steve also represents development projects, such as power centers or large mixed-use developments like City Gate West in Naperville, IL. Steve has helped put together entitlements, zoning, land packaging, land banking, due diligence services, equity raises, site selection, development agreements, TIF work, and deals in Opportunity Zones. Steve is a board member of the local economic development committees of Romeoville, IL and past board member of the Economic Development Committee of Crest Hill, IL, and is involved with the Will County Center for Economic Development. Steve is an active board member of the IL Chapter of CCIM.
