DR. HERNANDEZ OPTOMETRY - Key Persons


Diane M. Hernandez

Dr. Diane Hernandez was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry. Dr. Hernandez is a member of the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and is the Past President of the Duarte Kiwanis service club. Dr. Hernandez is pharmaceutical-TPA certified to diagnose, treat and prescribe for ocular disease, and provides consultations regarding laser vision correction.

Dr. Alma Fragoso-Corona

Dr. Alma Fragoso-Corona completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Riverside and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. She has been practicing Optometry for over 20 years. Dr. Fragoso-Corona is pharmaceutical-TPA certified to diagnose, treat and prescribe for ocular disease, and provides consultations regarding laser vision correction. In addition, she has an extended background in refractive surgery co-management (LASIK), contact lens fitting, and treatment of eye disease including Diabetic Retinopathy and Hypertensive Retinopathy. Dr. Fragoso-Corona is a member of the San Gabriel Valley Optometric society, the California Optometric Association, and the American Optometry Association. Dr. Fragoso-Corona is fluent in Spanish which enhances her effectiveness in treating her patients. During her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Amanda M. Mancilla

Dr. Amanda M. Mancilla was born and raised in La Puente, California. She is passionate about giving back to the community that brought her up and is committed to providing quality primary health care. Dr. Mancilla completed her undergraduate education at the University of La Verne. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry. Her clinical internship experiences included Ketchum Health Eye Clinic, Walter Reed Medical Center, Castle Family Health Center, and the Tucson VA Medical Center. During her internships, Dr. Mancilla expanded her knowledge on contact lens fitting, primary care, and treating and managing ocular diseases.

Dr. Salena Thong

Dr. Salena Thong completed her undergraduate education at UC Berkeley, with a degree in Molecular Environmental Biology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry, in Chicago. Her clinical internship experience includes the Illinois Eye Institute, Las Vegas VA, East Valley Eye Center, and Swagel Wootten Eye Institute. She completed her residency training at the Las Vegas VA, with an emphasis in Ocular Disease. Dr. Thong is passionate about providing her patients with the highest quality of care and a positive impact on their quality of life. She is fluent in English and Cantonese.
