Dea Rabon Montgomery, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in Georgia and California with over fifteen years of experience specializing in helping children, adolescents, adults and families. In addition to well developed skills for providing individual, couple, family and group therapy, Dr. Montgomery also has extensive experience with parent effectiveness training, coaching, clinical supervision and the comprehensive psychological assessment of infants, children, adolescents and adults. She further conducts specialized evaluations including those required for pre-surgical evaluations (i.e. pre-bariatric surgery, cochlear implants) and accommodations and adaptations for college placement (i.e. SAT, LSAT). Dr. Montgomery has a variety of clinical interest including addressing developmental and learning disabilities, ADHD, behavior disorders, anxiety/depression, family and relationship dynamics, personal development, child sexual abuse and the impact of chronic health and medical risk complications.
Through DRM Consulting Services, Inc., Dr. Montgomery further adheres to her commitment to enhanced individual and family coping and emotional well-being through coaching, teleconferences, workshop series, speaking engagements, radio shows and books. Using her experience as a prior Director of Post Doctoral Clinical Training, Dr. Montgomery also provides coaching, consultation and supervision for emerging therapist. Dr. Montgomery earned her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and has worked and trained at such premiere hospitals and programs as Cedar's Sinai Medical Center, Children's Hospital of New Orleans and the Marcus Institute. In addition to her clinical training working with children, adults and families, she has additional specialized training in professional coaching, clinical supervision, chronic and terminal illness and treating victims of trauma.
