Job Titles:
  • Lead
Mark Sutton Mark is the Lead Technician at DucShop. DucShop, established in 1991 specifically to meet demands for high-performance Ducati work, hinges on Mark's exceptional skills around Ducati motorcycles. His meticulous work, scrupulous attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction are underscored by the fact that he has experience with Ducati motorcycles equaled by few others in the U.S. The trust and respect he's built with his customers and racers is second to none. Mark knows that all mechanical and performance work is critical, from a basic 600 mile service all the way to full engine blueprinting, which is why he puts equal effort into every job. You can be sure you are getting Mark's best work every time your Ducati is in his hands, no matter what the model or the task. His thorough approach to his work and his deep knowledge of Ducati's extraordinary machines come from 24 years of hands-on experience at all levels. He has raced Ducatis, built AMA Superbike race-winning Ducati's, and was trained in Bologna, Italy on the Superbike engine. His abilities go beyond engines to cover chassis, suspension, fuel injection and every other aspect of any Ducati model. During his Ducati tenure Mark learned from many people at the top of their field. From The Motorcycle Shop in Anchorage Alaska, learning much about running a shop from Don Rosene, on to Ducati in Seattle learning from ex-Muzzy engine man Ken Funkhouser, then a few seasons at Fast By Ferracci working closely with Eraldo and Phillip. After a few years of running DucShop out of the dealership in Seattle he was hired as an engine builder at HMC Ducati working with Owen Coles (ex-V&H Ducati), and Charlie Putz (ex-WSB mechanic) who went on to work in and run the Ducati Corse engine room. Turning down an offer to work on the Ducati Austin team in 2003 Mark decided to move DucShop to Marietta Georgia, where he was free to build and service customer Ducati's, and develop his own product line under the DucShop name.
