The Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) Institute has a long history for innovation in Employee Assistance and is a recognised competent provider of high value certified on line learning courses on workplace psychological and psychosocial health and safety risks... The Institute was founded by Maurice Quinlan, the current Director, who introduced the concept of Occupational Alcohol Programmes (OAPs) to the European Union. In September 1980, the Institute hosted the first seminar on this topic in the Clarence Hotel, Dublin, Ireland and in 1985 the Institute established the first external Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) in Smithwick's Brewery (now Diageo) in Kilkenny, Ireland.
