Alan Bio

Alan joined our staff in July 2007. He brings over 30 years of experience as he served his apprenticeship between high school and college. A native of Charlottesville, VA, Alan is a 1978 graduate of Charlottesville High School and in 1982 was graduated with honors from John Tyler College in Chester, VA, where he earned an associate degree in Mortuary Science. He was associated for fifteen years with the Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville as a funeral director. He moved to Maryland in 1993 and worked in Baltimore for several years. He has been working as a funeral director in Carroll County since 1998. He is a member of the Maryland State Funeral Directors Association and a member and past president of the Tri-County Funeral Directors Association of central Maryland. He is a member of Westminster Lodge #2277 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the Hesson-Snider Post #120 of the Sons of the American Legion in Taneytown. His hobbies include golf, birdwatching, reading and travel.

Connor Bio

Connor carries on the Eline tradition as their sixth generation. A lifetime resident of Hampstead, Connor was a member of the first graduating class of Gerstell Academy in 2012. Connor continued his studies and graduated from High Point University in North Carolina in May of 2016 with his bachelor's degree in business administration with minors in economics, marketing and sales. While Connor began working part-time at the Funeral Home in high school, he began working full time upon graduation from High Point University in 2016. Connor graduated with his Mortuary Science degree from Catonsville Community College in December of 2019. Connor along with his father Steve founded Eline Monuments LLC in 2014. In addition to being a licensed mortician, Connor is a certified crematory operator and is licensed in monument sales and installations. Connor also is an active community member and currently serves as the President of the Hampstead Merchants Association. In his free time Connor enjoys working on his Jeep Wrangler and is an avid golfer.

Jeffrey Bio

Carrying on the tradition his great-great-grandfather started in 1863, Jeff was a fifth generation owner of Eline Funeral Home. A lifelong resident of Reisterstown, Jeff graduated from Franklin High School and then went on to acquire a bachelor's degree from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre PA. After a stint in broadcast television, Jeff joined his father in the business in 1991. Jeff is past president of the Reisterstown/Glyndon/Owings Mills Chamber of Commerce. Jeff retired from Eline Funeral Home December 1, 2021. He still resides in Reisterstown with his wife and two kids Aaron and Selby and remains active in our community. When he's not playing guitar he's producing films or doing card tricks.

Michelle Bio

Michelle joined the Eline Funeral Home in July of 2021. She is a 1994 graduate of Thiel College with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She graduated in January of 1996 from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Michelle has been a licensed funeral director in Pennsylvania since March of 1997. She was employed as a director in Hanover, Pennsylvania for twenty years. She obtained her Maryland mortician license in March of 2017 and is also a licensed life insurance agent in Pennsylvania and Maryland. She served as a Pre-Need Director for five years in Maryland. It was during this time that she completed the NFDA Certified Preplanning Consultant Program. She and her husband Blane reside in Hanover, Pennsylvania with their two sons, Jack and Max. In her free time, Michelle enjoys going for walks, trips to the beach and attending her son's baseball games and other various activities.

Steven Bio

A lifelong resident of Hampstead, Steve graduated from North Carroll High School in 1983. Following in his father's footsteps, he joined the family owned and operated business that same year. Steve graduated from Catonsville Community College with a degree in mortuary science in 1985. Upon graduation, he became responsible for the daily operations of the funeral home. Steve is a proud member of The Hampstead Lions Club, Carroll Hospice Dash, The Maryland State Funeral Directors Association, The National Funeral Directors Association, The Cremation Association of North America, and Hampstead Merchants Association. Steve sits on the board of directors for the Hampstead Cemetery Association and Farmers & Merchants Bank. He is a member of Piney Branch Golf and Country Club. His loving wife of 28 years, Lisa Eline, is the owner and operator of Petals Flowers & Gifts. Their children, Connor and Sarah, are involved in many local activities. The family resides in Hampstead, Maryland.
