Edwin M. Callender is an attorney and chemical engineer with offices in Houston, Texas, New York, NY and Georgetown, Guyana. He is principal of EMC Energy Consulting, LLC (EMCE Consulting) and managing member of The Callender Law Firm, PLLC, a practice focused in the areas of oil & gas, energy, and industrial law; commercial transactions; business law; estate planning; and consumer law. As an energy and oil and gas industry professional delivering quality legal-, consulting-, and technical- services across various industry segments for more than 30 years, Mr. Callender has held positions of great responsibility and business impact at major oil & gas-, refining-, natural gas-, and electric power- companies. His expertise includes business strategy, commercial transactions, energy deal structuring and risk analysis, process engineering, business planning, and business optimization. Mr. Callender's unique combination of legal-, analytical-, engineering-, and business- skills evidences his broad and deep expertise. Edwin earned his BSc. degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After completing two years of PhD study in Physical-Organic Chemistry at LSU and passing the PhD general exam, he joined Atlantic Richfield Company as a chemical engineer in Houston, Texas and began a career in the energy and oil & gas industry. Mr. Callender graduated magna cum laude with his Juris Doctor degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. Edwin also earned an MBA-Finance, and a MSc. degree in Chemical Engineering (both from the University of Houston). He is respected for his contributions and competence in his fields of endeavor, and holds a European patent for a commercial petrochemical process. Mr. Callender is a member of numerous professional organizations, including: the State Bar of Texas, the New York State Bar, Houston Bar Association, American Bar Association, the Houston Lawyers Association where he is also a member of the board of directors, the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN), and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). W. Howard Brittlebank, Principal Consultant, brings more than 30 years of international oil & gas and energy industry experience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) that includes more than 15 years managing offshore oil & gas development projects in the Arabian Gulf. He has successfully managed, implemented, and completed projects individually worth hundreds of millions of US dollars, and achieved hundreds of millions in cost savings. Mr. Brittlebank is a Mechanical Engineer, has excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills and has expertise in FEED (Front End Engineering Design), cost optimization, project planning, subsea systems, operations, facilities planning, risk management, pipeline construction, electric power engineering design & installation, and HSE (Health Safety & Environmental) systems. Since 1990, Mr. Brittlebank held engineering and management positions of increasing impact and responsibility at Saudi Aramco, Siemens Westinghouse, British Petroleum, both in the United States and internationally in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere. Through his work, he has contributed tens of millions of dollars in profitability to those companies. Prior to 1990, Mr. Brittlebank worked at GUYMINE, Linden, Guyana (in engineering and management roles), directly managed and developed more than 300 employees, and contributed to the safe, efficient, and productive operations of the facility. Mr. Brittlebank graduated from Queen's College, Guyana, and earned a BSc. (First Class Honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), England. He also completed course work for a MSc. degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA. W. Howard Brittlebank is PMP, RMP, & OE Certified.
