Mr. Harley Yerkes

Over the last several months, Mr. John Yerkes "Harley" has stepped up in a big way, and took on new responsibilities in relation to our Brownfields, Debris Pit Remediation, and DNREC-SIRS projects. His professionalism, work ethic and accountability have been noticed by several senior managers at Alliance in this capacity. During various client meetings and conference calls, he has taken the lead and has been responsive to our clients and their needs / concerns. He truly exhibits our commitment to providing quality, responsive service to our clients by maintaining good communications with our customers, and providing a knowledgeable, professional approach.

Mr. John Shannon

Job Titles:
  • Project Environmental Scientist / Education
In December 2015, John Shannon fulfilled the licensing requirements to obtain his asbestos Project Monitor License for the State of Delaware, and was successful in helping the company attain certification as an Asbestos Professional Services Firm! This was a lengthy and tedious process, and took several years of his commitment to continuing education courses, refresher trainings, shadowing other asbestos service firms, and his own work experience to achieve this goal. In addition to being a certified Asbestos Inspector, John is a Lead Risk Assessor, qualified to inspect for lead based paint in dwellings, and also certified as a Radon Measurement Technician. These qualifications have expanded our environmental due diligence services that we are able to offer to our existing and prospective clients, and have allowed Alliance to be more competitive in the marketplace. In addition to his dedication to self-improvement, John has done a fantastic job managing our Phase I projects.

Mr. Logan Moore

Logan began his career at Environmental Alliance in August 2017, and although he showed a little hesitancy those first few months it didn't take him long to hit his stride. Recently, he has had both the good luck and stamina to work on the BAE Lansdale project under Chris Thoeny and Paul Miller. Logan hasn't been deterred by the long hours and sometimes difficult field conditions presented by this challenging project. Instead, he continues to exhibit a positive attitude and a desire to learn as much as possible in order to perform the scope at hand. It's not only his thirst for learning, but also the confidence to share his own knowledge and recommendations with colleagues that make him a valuable team member and a worthy recipient of the Key Contributor Award.

Mr. Mark Harris

In the past six months, Mark has shown many leadership skills in his new capacity, including: ideas to improve procedures, integrity, delegation skills, and a unique ability to inspire other staff members. Starting with his 6-year anniversary this past December, Mark is now qualified to conduct Phase I reports and has eagerly accepted the responsibility. In this past 6-month period he has completed approximately 8 Phase I reports, 5 of which resulted in additional Phase II work for which he was responsible for planning and implementation. Over the past year, Mark has transitioned from the field to more of an office/management role and has gained a better understanding of productivity, quality, project timelines, budgets, and priorities. His range of services has included: maintaining site databases for remediation systems, statistical analysis, report writing, proposal/budget writing and scoping, and acting as an overall task manager for multiple projects with multiple tasks. Mark received his Green Card (MD equivalent of TWIX) and has also (on his own time) successfully completed CPR training.

Mr. Simon Mullen

On Sunday, August 10th, 2014, Simon mobilized to a client site in Paterson, NJ and oversaw emergency response contractors (all while dealing with a broken foot). According to the client and the compliance company brought in to assist with the tank line repairs, Simon worked around the site the entire timeā€¦gauging wells, documenting field conditions, and staying involved in the emergency response. He remained on site for a few days, and our client was very happy with his professionalism and involvement in the project. Simon consistently exhibits our commitment to providing quality, responsive service to our clients.

Mr. William "Bill" Smith - President

Job Titles:
  • President

Ms. Audrey Randall

Audrey Randall always comes to work with a smile on her face, and usually carrying fresh baked goods to share with her colleagues. She has been highly adaptive, stepping into a field geologist role, task management, and assisting our data team. She is always willing to take on new challenges, and continues to grow as an environmental professional. It's rare for a manager to get so much unsolicited positive feedback on an employee that is less than a year into their career, but that's been the case with Audrey. Her attitude, execution and communication have been great, and she is a worthy recipient of the Key Contributor Award.

Ms. Stephanie Frith

Since arriving at Alliance, Stephanie "Steph" Frith has exceeded expectations in every facet of her role. Steph was hired as a field geologist, and shortly after joining the team, she was asked to support the data group, and quickly had to familiarize and understand the intricacies of EQuIS, the processing of data in a timely fashion, and working with multiple project managers to meet deliverable deadlines. She supports projects via her time in the field as a geologist, generating soil boring logs, processing data deliverables, and most recently contributing to our due diligence group with the development of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. She comes in early when needed. She stays late on a regular basis to keep projects moving along, which avoids bottlenecks in the reporting process. More so than logging some long hours in the office, Steph has excelled in data presentation and has developed efficient technical report writing skills. Steph helps out in any way she can, and has been a true team player.
