Workshops on Explosive Behaviors is a bi-annual fall series of international meetings on diverse topics in energetic materials, held at The Bishop's Lodge, Santa Fe, New Mexico... In recent years there has been increased interest in many aspects of modified explosives, such as aluminized compositions, metastable intermolecular composites (MIC), thermobarics, high-nitrogen compounds, multi-phase blast explosives (MBX) and insensitive high explosives (IHE), driven by goals varying from specific performance enhancements to safety and environmental issues. This interest has led to the formulation and synthesis of a range of new compositions with more complex behaviors than many traditional explosives.
