A Southern California, native Aaron enjoys spending his time outdoors and experiencing the natural elements, especially the beach. He is very passionate about design and loves cooking for his beautiful wife.

Ana Garnica-Foster

Ana Garnica-Foster is an expert Administrator who has over 15 years of Accounting, Human Resources, and Communications experience at globally known brands such as The Walt Disney Company and Estee Lauder. Mrs. Foster has completed courses in Marketing and Accounting to help her stay abreast of changes and trends in the construction marketplace. Ana is a native of Southern California, but points to the three years she spent studying and living in New York City as a defining time in her life that gave her the experience which helped shape her career. Ana has been a vital part of the Esplanade team. Ana has been able to apply her on-hand experience in different divisions of the company to help create company protocols and procedures that help with day-to-day operations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 sons. She enjoys singing with her band on the weekends and loves to be by the beach.

Andrea Chavez

Andrea comes to us with over 10 years of Administrative experience in Construction and similar fields. Her background in administration and accounting has made her a great asset to our team. With a husband and 3 children, her work never ends here. Being an avid sports fan, she enjoys watching her kids play in numerous activities, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Angel Lule Lopez

Angel is a reliable, capable and enthusiastic Lead Superintendent who takes on the coordinating duties of multiple projects while overseeing the field and daily management of subcontractor coordination and inspections. He has an excellent standing record of developing safe working environments while remaining calm under pressure and possessing superb decision making skills while adhering to all necessary health and safety requirements. Angel is equally as busy trying to keep up with his wife and three children and their various school activities and projects.

Blake Stevenson

Blake is a detail oriented and motivated employee with a background in warehouse management and audio/visual communications. With that background he is used to working under deadlines, being a team player, and meeting client needs to their satisfaction. In his free time, and with weather permitting, you can find Blake frequenting the South Bay's beaches, whether it be paddling out to catch a few waves or going for a sunset strand cruise on his skateboard. Blake also frequents the local ice rinks, as he has been an avid hockey player since his youth and a huge supporter of his native Los Angeles Kings and Lakers and has been a fan since day one.

Brandon Campazzie - VP

Britni Blair

Christian Sorenson - CEO, President

Christian Sorenson has over 20 years of experience in the general contracting business and construction industry. As a young man he worked with his father constructing and remodeling homes, he developed hands-on experience in a wide range of trades. He has built all levels of projects; from simple tenant improvement build-outs to multi-million dollar construction projects. His experience in management ranged from new commercial or retail buildings, large corporate tenant improvement build-outs, new office facilities, new distribution warehouse facilities, and standard commercial office remodels. His field experience, combined with an education background in Development and Architecture, has helped Mr. Sorenson become a well-respected contractor and project manager not only in the South Bay but also across Southern California.

Christopher Jensen

Diana Lopez

Diana has worked in the construction industry since 2015. Gaining experience and knowledge along the way, she has a clear understanding of project lifecycles. As a Project Accountant, she works closely with the Project Managers and generates accurate client billing. She generally monitors accounts receivables and payables to facilitate efficient processing and responds to subcontractor inquiries regarding account status. She is a positive and open minded team player who strives to create a lasting impression on those around her by building relationships. Outside of work, Diana enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid sports fan.

Greg Guba - VP

Greg is a results-driven leader with a strong academic engineering background and diverse commercial real estate experience. His passion for construction developed at a young age working with his father; his passion for leadership through years of service as a naval nuclear power officer. Having held positions in third party project management, general contracting, and on the executive staff of a national REIT, Greg has a combination of industry perspectives which allow him to fully support Esplanade's customers pre-lease through occupancy.

Jason Kihara

After working as a Service Writer for 10 years at a local Ford Dealership, Jason Kihara was brought on as a Project Engineer / Estimator for True Line Railing. After gaining 2 years of valuable preconstruction, construction, post construction and administrative experience, he has now transitioned over to Esplanade Builders, where he is a Project Manager. Born and raised in Redondo Beach, CA Jason spends much of his free time behind the lens of his camera.

Jeannie Charbonneau

Deadline driven and customer focused with over 20 years of experience within the commercial construction industry, Jeannie exhibits strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. She is responsible for tracking submittals, processing RFI's, change order and assisting the Project Managers in daily tasks.

Jim Bald

A seasoned project manager responsible for pre-construction services, estimating, negotiations and off-site construction management. Over 45 years of commercial TI construction experience. His in-depth experience provides a strong link between the client, office, sub-contractors, and field operations. Jim when not at work enjoys surfing, skiing, Napa, travel, and a good meal with family and friends.

Juan Plasencia - CFO

Juan has over 25 years of leadership experience in various aspects of Finance and Accounting in both Public and Private entities. He has held leadership roles in Treasury Management, FP&A, Controllerships and Chief Financial Officer. With his diverse background he's been able effectively navigate organizations through complex financial and operational challenges. A firm believer in transparency and measurement he aligns very closely with the stakeholders in the rest of the company to ensure all business decisions are derived from accurate set of data and information. He has worked in industries which include Construction, Financial Services, SAAS and Medical. Within construction he has worked both Private and Public Works projects. Has successfully navigated multiple audits with the state of California.

Karla Mendez

As a Wellness Program Director with a background and specialty in Kinesiology as well as Yoga. With experience of over 8 years teaching yoga (trained in India) and over 5 years of science-based kinesiology training, her plan is to combine this knowledge along with nutrition, and guide others in living a vigorous and long healthy life. Through this role, utilizing her knowledge and creativity, she will pursue to create a lasting wellness culture in the company. She loves to travel and has been to over 40 countries. You will find her playing beach volleyball every weekend, hiking, or taking some downtime to relax at home.

Lisa Deierling

Lisa has a background in education, and her strong organization and attention to detail add tremendous value to the Payroll department. Working consistently on weekly deadlines, Lisa is our point of contact for all thing's payroll and timekeeping. She also assists in shaping the foundation and protocol for her department, employee relations, and HR. When Lisa isn't working at Esplanade, she is busy volunteering with groups for her three children's various year-round sports and activities, continuing to learn and seek information about health and wellness (she has a degree in biology from UCSB), and enjoying any rare moments of "free time" with her husband.

Lynnette Elliott

Matt Campbell

Matt was raised in the construction industry with his father being a general contractor. After receiving a business management degree from Northern Arizona University, he moved to California where he gained a wide array of knowledge and experience while working for various subcontractors in the construction industry. He is now utilizing his talents as an assistant project manager with Esplanade Builders. Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and their son. They all love boating, being outdoors, traveling and sports.

Matthew Quane

Phil Brodkin - COO

Brodkin brings over 20 years of industry experience across a variety of services. Most recently, Brodkin was the Managing Principal of the Los Angeles Region at Cushman & Wakefield, overseeing the Downtown Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, North Los Angeles and South Bay Markets. Brodkin was responsible for revenue growth, profitability, client relations, industry recruitment and business development, providing leadership and broadening client services. Before Cushman & Wakefield, Brodkin was Newmark's Los Angeles Region Market Leader and served as the head of Newmark's Industrial and Logistics Services group. In addition to his prior work at Newmark, Brodkin served as a Director of Real Estate for the Regus Group/IWG where he was responsible for overseeing strategic growth for the western U.S. Brodkin started his career as a brokerage professional for CBRE, where he spent nine years. Phil enjoys spending time with his family and friends, most specifically his wife Katie and his four children, Trace, Ryan, Jenna and Eric.

Roberto Calderon

As Vice President, Industrial for Esplanade Builders, Roberto is responsible for the day-to-day operations for this division. Roberto has over 16 years of experience in senior-level management of all phases of industrial construction, from new tilt-up developments to existing industrial building repositionings and large-scale site/tenant improvements. He is a great asset due to his extensive knowledge in preconstruction services, due diligence administration, and management, estimating, and business development. Prior to joining Esplanade Builders, Roberto worked at Arch-Con Corporation as Vice President of National Industrial Division and senior project manager for Gray Construction. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture, with a concentration in commercial design from the Catholic University of Nicaragua and a master's in project management and construction from Florida International University. Mr. Calderon provides his expertise for large industrial projects in Southern California such as multiple tilt-up developments in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County. He has been responsible for managing project teams, monitoring multiple project schedules, managing numerous projects, contractual negotiations, and overseeing all design and construction phases. He also has experience with international projects ranging from theme parks in Singapore, new casinos, ground-up projects for Thrifty Oil Company including well monitoring and remediation to complex projects in occupied spaces for the University of Southern California.

Ron Caropino

With over 40 years of experience in the construction Industry Ron can assist and manage many aspects of a project. Ron was born in West Covina, California and has lived in many parts of the US. Ron Currently resides in Lomita, California with his wife (Christine), two brilliant and athletic daughters (Jessa, Kara) and family pet Dakota. Sandra McCain

With experience in the Commercial Construction industry beginning in 1996, and as a Project Engineer at Esplanade since 2011, Sandra has developed the understanding of what it takes to assist in leading a progressive Project Management team to success. As a caretaker by nature, managing our offices and making sure every team member has what they need to get their jobs done is her strength. In her role as Manager of Project Operations, she is putting her knowledge to work in developing protocols to make sure Esplanade remains compliant with all municipal requirements, as well as assisting in business development to further the growth of our company. Sandra is a 4th-generation Southern California native who loves being the mother of two boys and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors.

Stephanie Mengel

Steven Laguna

A California native and a fan of Football and Baseball, Steven enjoys spending his free time in the outdoors on his Harley and loves to ride along the coast and in the mountains. Todd Joyce has over 26 years' experience in the construction industry. Todd has directed field operations on a multitude of projects in the residential, commercial and aerospace sectors. As Vice President, Field Operations for Esplanade, his duties include participation at the pre-construction planning phase, project scheduling, and coordinating field operations and subcontractors. Todd served in the USMC after high school and after completing his service went to work in the construction industry. His time served in the military helped build his commitment to excellence, work ethic and attention to detail. These traits attribute to the standards Esplanade Builders strives for on all projects.

Victoria "Vicki" Eddy
