ESTATE PLANNING LAW CENTER - Key Persons

Aryn C. Hensel

Job Titles:
  • Client Services & Marketing Coordinator
Aryn's family planted roots in Holland Patent in 2007 and she's felt right at home in the Mohawk Valley ever since. She graduated from Holland Patent High School in 2018 and after a remark from her mother ("You love to argue… you'd make a great lawyer!") continued her education at Syracuse University as a pre-law student. Aryn graduated Summa Cum Laude from SU in 2021, majoring in Religion and minoring in Anthropology. She planned to attend law school after graduation, but life had other plans at the time. Despite her best efforts to avoid the legal field, the universe stuck Aryn right back in it! She joined the Estate Planning Law Center team as a Client Enrollment Specialist in 2023, and loves greeting clients with a smile and a hot cup of Utica Roast coffee! Aryn helps new and existing clients navigate their estate planning journey and loves supporting our attorneys as they do the same! In 2024, Aryn transitioned into our firm's Marketing department and spearheads all logistics of our Estate Planning Workshops. If you've been to a workshop, you've met Aryn! When she's not in her (very well-decorated) office, you can find Aryn at a local tattoo shop (she has over 20!), crafting at home, or reading her very own poetry at community open mic nights! Aryn feels right at home at EPLC, where it's all about family - also loving spending time with her parents, little siblings, her wife JoAnna, and her (very fresh) cat, Biggie.

Briana L. Moriarty

Job Titles:
  • Director of Workshops & Presentations
  • Professional Services
Briana Moriarty is the Director of Workshops & Presentations for The Estate Planning Law Center, yet she is not a lawyer. Does this surprise you? If you have met Briana, probably not. Briana comes from a large family. A Sunday meal consisting of 14 family members would be considered poorly attended. She was particularly close to her grandparents, who instilled in her the conviction that if you know what you want in life, and work hard, you will attain your goals. Briana's career is a testament to this invaluable lesson. Briana joined EPLC in the Client Services Department. She moved on to Marketing, and eventually began hosting workshops. She has done plenty of back office work as well, from funding to handling Medicaid and probate matters. Now, as they say, Briana runs the show… in this case, two shows. Briana derives a great deal of personal and professional satisfaction from maintaining an environment in which attorneys and staff have everything they need to help the firm's clients succeed. Her experience in all aspects of EPLC's operation gives Briana the knowledge and skills necessary to do so. Born and raised in Central New York, Briana received her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY College at Oneonta, where she majored in History. Briana earned her Master of Education degree from the University of Phoenix in March, 2011. In many ways, as Operations Manager of both LWP and EPLC, she is still a teacher today. When Briana is not working, she can be found in the company of family and friends. She also enjoys shopping for the latest fashion trends, especially shoes and handbags.

David A. Mancuso

Job Titles:
  • Attorney
  • Member of the Legal Team
David is originally from Utica, New York and has once again settled in the area after more than fifteen years away. He received his undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration from Ithaca College in 1999. After working briefly as a Projects Manager/Utilization Review Director at an outpatient alcohol/substance abuse facility, David moved to Jacksonville, Florida to attend Florida Coastal School of Law in 2001. Like many attorneys, David was inspired to become a lawyer because it offers numerous opportunities to help people during difficult times in their lives. Upon earning his Juris Doctorate in May 2004, David worked for several firms over the next decade and a half, ranging in specialty from personal injury to family law matters to homeowner's insurance claims. Over time, David realized that the areas of estate planning and elder law offer the greatest potential to help people from all walks of life. He and his wife moved back to Central New York. At EPLC, David is committed to devoting all of the time and energy necessary to forge long-term relationships with his clients, helping them manage the challenges that come with growing older while protecting their loved ones, assets, and independence. When not practicing law, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons. He also enjoys exercising, hiking, and golfing (whenever he gets the chance). As a new father, David is reminded every day about the importance of proper planning and the work he does on behalf of his clients.

Zumpano, remaining "of counsel" to his former firm. Since, his firm has grown twenty-fold as the Estate Planning Law Center, David J. Zumpano CPA, Esq. Elizabeth A. Evans

Job Titles:
  • Associate
  • Attorney
  • Member of the Legal Team
Elizabeth (Liz) was born and raised in Central New York. She graduated from Clinton Senior High School with honors and a diploma of distinguished community service (representing 150+ hours of community service). Following her grandmother's footsteps, she attended the College of St. Rose in Albany. Her grandmother graduated from St. Rose, as a teacher, with a strong value of education. Liz shared that value and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree, dual majoring in History and Political Science, with a minor in French. She was accepted into the 3+3 Program with Albany Law School of Union University, which allowed her to earn her bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate in six years rather than seven. Following her first year at Albany Law School, Liz wasn't sure what area of the law she wanted to focus on. Her advisor, noting that Elizabeth had excelled in Property Law, recommended Estate Planning because the two disciplines require similar skill sets. She agreed, and received her J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University in 2008, triple concentrating on Estate Planning, Tax Law, and Business Law. At EPLC, Liz works primarily on Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, and Estate and Trust Administration.

Kyle P. Madigan - COO

Throughout and after college, Kyle remained local, operating his family's restaurant business. Kyle joined the Estate Planning Law Center in April of 2018, beginning his career as our Funding Coordinator Paralegal. He is eager to build close relationships with our new and existing clients. From personal experiences, what Kyle loves most about his position at the Estate Planning Law Center, is his ability to help local families protect what they've worked extremely hard for during their entire lives, so that it is not lost to the government or other institutions. When Kyle is not working, he can be found spending time with family, friends, or his (very) badly-behaved cats. In his down time, he enjoys cooking, watching football, trying new restaurants, and traveling to new places.
