Our bodies have the ability to adapt to stress. When we start a fitness routine, we are requiring our bodies to adapt to that stress. It is that adaptation that allows us to become stronger, faster and healthier. If we lower the stress, or the frequency of the stress, our bodies will adapt accordingly. If you stop your fitness routine, you body will adapt and decrease your fitness to match its current needs. Unfortunately, we become unfit in a lot less time than it took us to get fit. If we don't use it, we will lose it...
