Alexander Muszynski, III

Alexander Muszynski, III is a lifelong resident of Orlando. After graduating from Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, Florida in 1976, he attended Valencia Community College in Orlando, and earned his Associate in Arts degree in 1978. In 1980 he graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's of Arts in History. Mr. Muszynski began his legal education in 1980 at the University of South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. He transferred to Florida State University College of Law in 1981 and graduated in 1983. Mr. Muszynski has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1984 and has concentrated on a trial practice representing insureds, insurers and self-insureds throughout the State of Florida. His practice focuses on personal injury litigation and wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, electrical accidents, insurance defense, aviation insurance and aviation litigation. As an active pilot since age 15 he is also involved in the legal representation of pilots, airlines, aircraft owners, maintenance facilities, maintenance technicians, flight schools, fixed-base operators, etc. and insurers since he began practicing law. He holds an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate, with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings. Mr. Muszynski is admitted to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Middle, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, and all state courts within the State of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar, Orange County Bar Association, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Orlando Claims Association and the Defense Research Institute. He is also a member of the Aviation Insurance Association, Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Martindale-Hubbell has rated Mr. Muszynski, "AV", its highest designation.

Cameron E. Shackelford

Cameron E. Shackelford is a native of Winter Park, Florida. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree from Rollins College. Mr. Shackelford later attended Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri where he was awarded an MA in Computer Resources Management and an MA in Space Systems Management. Mr. Shackelford also attended the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, where he earned a Master of Business Administration degree, graduating with Beta Gamma Sigma honors and the class leadership award. Mr. Shackelford attended the Rutgers University School of Law, where he received a JD. Mr. Shackelford served for twenty years in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel with assignments devoted to space and flight operations. He retired as a Command Pilot with over 3100 hours of multiengine jet time in a variety of aircraft, most notably the T-39 Sabreliner, C-21A Learjet, and the C-141B Starlifter. He concluded his distinguished career of service as the Director of Operations for Air Mobility Command's operational test and evaluation squadron. He is a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College. Mr. Shackelford concentrates his practice in the field of aviation law but maintains a professional interest in the evolving field of space law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the Seminole County Bar Association, and the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association. He has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and all state courts within the State of Florida. His pro bono activities are focused on serving the needs of military veterans. Mr. Shackelford's personal interests include MLS and Premier League soccer, music and travel.

Donald L. O'Dell

Donald L. O'Dell (Retired) received a a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1972 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1976. Mr. O'Dell became a member of the Florida Bar in 1978 and immediately embarked upon a career in civil litigation. Mr. O'Dell distinguished himself as a trial lawyer for 37 years before his retirement from the practice of law on September 30, 2015.

George A. Meier, III

George A. Meier, III (Retired) was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree by Colgate University in 1969 and a JD by the Ohio State University College of Law in 1972. Mr. Meier was a founding member of the firm. Mr. Meier retired from the practice of law on January 31, 2015.

John R. McDonough

John McDonough was born in Portland, Maine and admitted to the Florida Bar in 1970 and the United State Courts of Military Appeals in 1974. John earned his Bachelor's degree and law degree from the University of Florida. He is duly qualified and admitted to practice law in all Florida courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He served in the United States Air Force as a Captain with the Judge Advocate General's Corp (JAG). John is a member of the Florida Bar Association. Mr. McDonough began his insurance defense practice with the firm of Pitts, Eubanks, Ross & Rumberger, Orlando, Florida, where he became a partner in the practice. Thereafter he practiced with the Orlando defense firm of Markel, McDonough & O'Neal. That firm, after many name changes, merged its practice with the firm of Allen & Newman, PLLC in 2010. John concentrates his practice to all aspects of insurance defense including motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, construction related defense, realtor errors and omissions, and general and professional liability. Mr. McDonough is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Court Mediator and has served as a member of the Judicial Nominating Committee for the 18th Judicial Circuit. John is rated "AV Preeminent" by Martindale-Hubbell. His trial practice has included representation of the insureds for Chartis (AIG), Traveler's, Zurich American, American Insurance Company, Georgia Casualty Insurance Company, Nautilus Insurance Company, Greenwich Insurance Company, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, Allstate, Omni Insurance Company, Kemper Insurance Companies, Scottsdale Insurance Company, The Harford and Chubb. In addition to his insurance litigation practice, Mr. McDonough has been a volunteer as a guardian ad litem for juvenile clients in Orange County, Florida during the last fifteen years.

Robert E. Bonner

Robert E. Bonner was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science by the Ohio State University in 1976. He then attended law school at the University of Florida, receiving a JD with honors in 1981. While attending the University of Florida, Mr. Bonner was a member of the Appellate Advocacy Board of Editors. Mr. Bonner was also a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, serving as Magister in 1981. Mr. Bonner also served as a Legal Writing Instructor at the University of Florida in 1981. Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 1981, Mr. Bonner has successfully represented local governments, law enforcement agencies, individual law enforcement officers and elected officials in a variety of civil matters in both state and federal courts. Mr. Bonner is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida and the Florida Bar. Mr. Bonner has been Board Certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education since 1989. Mr. Bonner is also Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA). In addition to his membership in the Florida Bar, Mr. Bonner is an Advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Mr. Bonner is also a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), the Florida Defense Lawyers Association (Immediate Past President 2017-2018; President 2016-2017; President-Elect 2015-2016; Secretary-Treasurer 2014-2015; Board of Directors 2008-2012), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the Florida Association of Police Attorneys and the Florida Municipal Attorneys Association. Mr. Bonner is a frequent lecturer on a variety of legal topics, including evidence, ethics and federal practice.

Veronica L. Harvey

Veronica Lee Harvey graduated cum laude from Indiana University in 1989 with a Bachelor in General Studies, majoring in History and Criminal Justice. Ms. Harvey subsequently attended North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina, where she was awarded her Juris Doctor in May of 1996. Ms. Harvey joined the firm in 1998 and was a valued member of Meier, Bonner, Muszynski, O'Dell and Harvey for 18 years until her untimely death on January 17, 2015.
