Michael Galligan founded his law practice in 1971 following his graduation from the University of Tennessee School of Law. He established the Law Offices of Galligan and Newman in 1982. The primary focus of Michael Galligan's practice is personal injury, medical malpractice, civil rights, employment, contested estate cases, complex criminal cases, and workers' compensation. Mr. Galligan has also settled and tried many plaintiffs' cases involving large monetary awards in both federal and state courts.
Born in Washington, D.C., in 1941, Mr. Galligan served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 to 1968, rising to the rank of Captain. Mr. Galligan was also an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee School of Law for thirteen years. Outside his time at the firm, Mr. Galligan's interests include painting, writing, athletics, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with his lovely wife, Rhonda Galligan. Mr. Galligan is also an artist and poet.

Robert joined Mike in 1982 to establish the Law Offices of Galligan & Newman. With over 40 years of experience, Robert specializes in the areas of domestic law, such as divorce, child custody and visitation, and adoptions, criminal defense, probate and estate planning, and local utility representation, including McMinnville Electric System and West Warren-Viola Utility District.
Robert is married to Marsha Newman, who is a retired principal of West Elementary School in McMinnville. They have four sons and four grandchildren. Robert enjoys cheering on the Tennessee Titans, spending time with his family, and tending to his cattle on his family farm in Viola.

Trevor joined Galligan & Newman in 2011 and practices in the areas of personal injury, employment discrimination, civil rights, criminal defense, complex civil litigation, and corporate representation, including local telecommunication cooperative, Ben Lomand Connect. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Galligan served as a Legislative Director and Counsel to U.S. Representative, Lincoln Davis. Mr. Galligan has also settled and tried many plaintiffs' cases involving large monetary awards.
Trevor and his wife, Meredith, have three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, playing sports, music, reading, cooking, and going to Nissan Stadium to watch the Tennessee Titans.
