GASLIGHT

Gaslight is actively involved in Hallowell and the surrounding Capital area. We are a member of the Hallowell Board of Trade and the Maine Tourism Association, a member of the American Association of Community Theatre, and a founding member of the Maine Association of Community Theaters. We sponsor an annual award for graduating seniors at four area high schools to recognize the dramatic arts, and frequently participate in local festivals such as Old Hallowell Days and Christmas in Old Hallowell... Gaslight Theater is an all-volunteer organization incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. We have a Board of Directors that runs the organization day-to-day (or week to week) and oversees the business aspects of our productions... Founded in 1937 as the Augusta Players, Gaslight Theater is the oldest continuously operating community theater in Maine.
