Anthony "Tony" Palombo

Anthony "Tony" Palombo is an attorney with NRS Injury Law, in the personal injury department. Tony has been practicing law since 1995 and brings the experience of a seasoned trial lawyer to NRS. He ‘cut his teeth' handling cases as an Attorney for the Ohio Turnpike Commission and as an Assistant Director of Law for the City of Cleveland. He then worked for a Labor and Employment Law firm defending large national and multi-national companies in employment discrimination claims and labor disputes. In the early 2000's, Tony went to work on the plaintiff's side representing injured victims of negligence. Before coming to NRS, Tony worked for highly successful plaintiff's firms where he handled thousands of injury cases. He has successfully litigated wrongful death lawsuits, construction negligence cases and negligent security cases, as well as auto and truck accident cases to settlement, arbitration, mediation and trial. He has tried cases in both State and Federal Court including a seven figure verdict. Tony lives in Lake County with his wife Kim, who is a cardiac care nurse. They have three boys.

Austin J. Enger

Austin is dedicated to his career, but he also takes time to participate in many of the firm's community outreach programs, including volunteering at the Greater Cleveland Foodbank and Miracle League of Lake County, the region's adaptive baseball league for children and adults with special needs. Corey J. Kuzma

Corey Kuzma, a senior associate attorney with NRS Injury Law, focuses his practice on workers' compensation. While in law school, Corey was an intern for the city of Cleveland Department of Law. Regularly assisting attorneys within the Department of Civil Litigation, he acquired both experience and passion in the field. Corey has argued at administrative proceedings, civil jury trials, and court of appeals on behalf of his clients during his time at this firm. Corey resides in Lakewood, Ohio with his wife Emma.

Daniel A. Romaine - CEO

Dan Romaine, a Co-Managing Partner at NRS Injury Law, leads the firm's personal injury and auto accident litigation groups. In March 2013, Dan received the highest Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating, AV Preeminent. This is a distinction held by a select few in the legal industry and serves as a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. Dan clerked at a large plaintiff's personal injury firm while in law school and then worked as an associate attorney in a large Cleveland-based insurance defense firm. For two years he defended insurance companies in personal injury and auto accident litigation cases before coming back to the plaintiff's side in 1999. Since that time, Dan has worked exclusively on the side of individuals, representing their interests against large corporations and insurance companies. His unique perspective of handling cases on both sides of the fence gives him the insight and skills necessary to represent individuals and families in these matters. Dan has handled tens of thousands of injury claims over the past 20 years, including cases in numerous municipal, county, state, and federal courts of Ohio.

David E. Nager

David E. Nager, Founding Partner of NRS Injury Law, has been in private practice since 1990. His primary areas of practice include workers' compensation, personal injury and medical malpractice. He has successfully argued thousands of cases before every level of the Industrial Commission of Ohio, and has handled hundreds of cases before various courts throughout Ohio. He has successfully argued cases on the State Appellate level, and he's obtained compensation for thousands of injury victims totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. In 2011, David Nager was appointed to the Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) Nominating Committee for a three year term. This statewide committee determines who will be nominated for appointment to the BWC Executive Board, which oversees the finances of the BWC for the state of Ohio. This prestigious honor demonstrates Mr. Nager's statewide recognition as a leader, on behalf of claimants, in the area of workers' compensation. In addition, the Ohio Association for Justice named David as the Outstanding Service Award recipient at its statewide convention held in May 2011. This award was presented in recognition of his efforts to positively effect change in the BWC system by meeting with its leadership to identify shortcomings in the system and recommend changes that benefit injured workers in Ohio.

Erin E. Sawyer

Erin Sawyer, an associate attorney with NRS Injury Law, focuses her practice on workers' compensation. Prior to joining the NRS team, Erin practiced in the Northeast Ohio area. She aided her local Akron community as a Guardian Ad Litem assisting children and families. Erin also has previous experience representing victims of personal injury in the greater Cleveland area. There, she participated in depositions, mediations, discovery, and extensive trial preparation. While in law school, Erin received a CALI award for academic excellence in Tort Law (2013). Further, she aided limited-means individuals through the University Expungement Clinic and was an editor for the Akron Law Review (2013-2014). Erin, a Summit County resident, enjoys exploring the local metro parks.

Erin Schmidt is an associate attorney with NRS, focusing on worker's compensation. Prior to joining the NRS team, Erin has devoted her practice to helping folks injured or disabled with Social Security Disability, family law, guardianships, and special education. Outside of the office, Erin enjoys kayaking and fishing on the numerous northeast Ohio lakes. She also enjoys board gaming, crafting, and hanging out with her family and pets.

Joseph E. Gibson

Joseph Gibson is our attorney in the Dayton Office of NRS Injury Law focusing on Workers' Compensation law. For almost 30 years, he was the owner of Gibson Law Offices, a solo-practitioner law firm with locations in Vandalia, Fairborn and Middletown. He has handled cases both administratively, and in litigation, arguing cases before juries, the Court of Appeals, and the Ohio Supreme Court. After this he was appointed District Hearing Officer for the Cincinnati Region of the Ohio Industrial Commission, deciding contested workers' compensation claims. He joined NRS Injury Law in August of 2023. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and went on to attend the University of Dayton School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1990. He worked for the Department of Defense at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Air Force Logistics Command where he reviewed Contracting Officer's Decisions for legal sufficiency, and evaluated/prepared cases before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals. He was then appointed by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation to be the local District Attorney for Dayton and Springfield service offices where he represented the BWC at all levels of administrative hearing. He advised claim and risk staff on claim questions, premium issues, and agency policy. He has instructed at Sinclair Community College in Dayton and Edison State Community College in both the Political Science and Business Law Fields. In 2009 he was elected to City Council in his hometown of Tipp City, Ohio earning the highest number of votes a candidate has ever won up to that time. He was re-elected four years later in 2013, and again in 2017. In 2014 he was selected to be Council President. In 2018 he became Mayor of Tipp City and served for two terms. He is a member of the Miami County Bar Association, the Dayton Bar Association, and the Federal Bar. He is past Chairman of the Dayton Bar Association Workers' Compensation & Social Security Committee. He has served multiple terms on the Dayton Bar Association's Certified Grievance Committee, investigating bar complaints, and reviewing grievances. He currently lives in Tipp City with his wife, Sonia and has two daughters, Diana and Sarah.

Leah Michael

Leah is an associate with NRS Injury Law, working in the Northwest Ohio region to better serve our clients. Her practice area is focused on workers' compensation. Leah has been representing injured workers and their families since 2015. She has vast experience in not only workers' compensation, but also personal injury and social security matters. Even before graduating from law school, Leah was working for a personal injury firm and gained hands-on experience that has served her well in her career. Leah's career path has always remained focused on helping individuals that have fallen victim to a work-related or other accident.

Margaret T. Whitmore

Margaret T. Whitmore, an associate attorney with NRS Injury Law, focuses her practice on workers' compensation. Prior to joining NRS, Margaret worked in personal injury and estate planning at a small firm in Fairview Park, Ohio. Margaret was an associate who worked on the plaintiff's side of personal injury including motor vehicle accidents and nursing home negligence. She also created wills, trusts, and estate planning for families from Northeast Ohio. Further, she handled estate administration in Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Medina Country Probate courts. While in law school, Margaret focused her studies on health care law. She was a legal extern in the Compliance & Ethics Department at University Hospitals. She earned a Certificate in Health Law from Cleveland-Marshall's Center for Health Law & Policy. She also was given a ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in Health Law. Margaret is a resident of Rocky River. In her free time, Margaret enjoys taking as many yoga classes as she can, running, and spending time with her parents and seven siblings.

Mark A. Adams

Mark A. Adams began his career in 1978. He graduated magna cum laude from Miami University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned a Juris Doctor degree with honors from The Ohio State University law school. Mark's mother and father were both machine operators in the Cleveland area, and, prior to law school, Mark worked several summers as a machine operator as well. Therefore, it is particularly rewarding for Mark to represent members of his parents' union, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, as well as the many unions throughout the state. He is a member of the Ohio Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. Mark is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court and has practiced in the federal and state courts throughout the eastern US. Mark has successfully argued appeals in both the federal and state courts of appeal, and has argued on behalf of clients in front of the Ohio Supreme Court. Mark has been named one of the "Top 100 Lawyers" in Columbus for the past several years. Mark is designated as a panel attorney for the AFL-CIO Union Plus Legal Services Plan providing consultations, advice, and legal services to numerous members of various participating unions, and has been a guest lecturer at the AFL-CIO workers' compensation school for many years. With 40 years of experience, Mark has enjoyed successfully representing injured workers and helped them obtain fair and reasonable compensation for their injuries or losses.

Michael W. O'Neil

Michael W. O'Neil a senior associate attorney brings his extensive experience to NRS's Workers' Compensation practice area. He focuses his practice on representing injured and disabled employees. With over two decades of experience in Workers' Compensation matters, Michael has established himself as a highly respected senior associate attorney. In addition to his legal career, Michael O'Neil is a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1986-1990. He served with the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea, as well as stateside assignments at Ft. Benning, GA and Ft. Jackson, SC.

Sam Marcellino

Sam is a graduate of The University of Toledo College of Law and the University of Kentucky. He lives in Bexley with his wife and daughter. Sam serves on the Board of Directors' of Wexner Heritage Village, as well as Klarity Medical Products. He is also very active in his local community and was elected to Bexley City Council in 2021.

Todd Jackett

Todd Jackett, an attorney at NRS Injury Law, practices in the workers' compensation litigation and personal injury groups. Todd also represents clients in employment-related matters. After clerking at the Ohio Eleventh District Court of Appeals, Todd worked at a large Cleveland-based insurance defense firm where he represented and defended corporations and insurance companies against a myriad of claims filed by individuals. Todd then spent more than ten years directly working for insurance companies again defending against claims asserted by individuals. Throughout his career, Todd has handled thousands of claims in both state and federal court in Ohio and throughout the United States. In total, Todd spent almost two decades working with and for corporations and insurance companies on the defense side. Through this experience, he has gained significant knowledge of and expertise in insurance companies' internal claim handling processes. Todd now utilizes this unique insight to the substantial benefit of his clients.

Trevor R.C. Davis is an associate attorney at NRS Injury Law, focusing on workers' compensation out of the Cincinnati office. In 2019 Trevor Graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Computer Engineering, and in 2022 Graduated from The University of Dayton School of Law. Trevor's always loved problem-solving, whether in legal matters or engineering. He aspires to help clients quickly and efficiently get their claims settled and get what they deserve, whether that is through the Ohio workers' compensation system or litigation. Trevor prides himself on being an active member of the community! He's been involved in Relay for Life and United Way for 15 years. He founded Flyers Against Drunk Driving and has been an officer in a myriad of organizations.
