Alissa Sklar - CMO

Alissa is a recognized expert in economic development communication, marketing, and social media. As the vice president of marketing for GIS Planning, she works directly with clients to develop and fine-tune marketing campaigns to promote their use of ZoomProspector Enterprise and Intelligence Components. Using the customized, collaborative approach that has always distinguished GIS Planning's relationship with its clients, Alissa works to expand and fine-tune the reach of location brands in the highly competitive field of economic development. With a Ph.D. and M.A. in Communication and Cultural Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Alissa has worked extensively in both private and academic sectors, serving as a social media consultant for economic development agencies, full time faculty member at Concordia University's Department of Communication Studies, a research consultant at McGill University, blogger, and multiple award-winning journalist. Whether a country-wide application, a state, city or small town, I love being able to work with clients one-on-one to devise the best marketing strategies for their region. Anatalio Ubalde - Founder, Managing Director

Anatalio Ubalde is co-founder and Managing Director of GIS Planning. He is an economic developer, entrepreneur, and inventor. He works globally with economic development organizations and investment promotion agencies to foster enhanced business investment strategies using GIS Planning's Internet technology. His work in geographic information systems, economic development and the Internet has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Forbes, Fortune, The New York Times, and TechCrunch. He was named a Fellow Member of the International Economic Development Council for achieving exceptional stature in the field of economic development. Anatalio is a highly sought-after thought-leader and frequently speaks about the use of Internet, small business, marketing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for economic development at national and international conferences on these subjects throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. He is author of the books Economic Development Marketing (2013) and Economic Development Online (2011). Before co-founding GIS Planning he worked in local economic development with a focus on downtown revitalization, waterfront redevelopment, business attraction/expansion, small business, and corporate site selection. He is also CEO of SizeUp, a Software as a Service delivering big data insights for small businesses. Anatalio has a Master's degree in City Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.

Bryan Beatty - VP of Sales

Bryan has worked in the tech industry for over 20 years. His experience includes companies ranging from fast growing startups to a Fortune 10 Company. He has deep sales and marketing experience as well as knowledge of the tech eco system. Bryan has an MA in Public Administration. It is great to work at an organization that genuinly strives to improve the communities we serve.

Jeff Suneson

Jeff Suneson is the director of client services at GIS Planning. Jeff has been with GIS Planning for over 10 years and is intimately knowledgable with the clients we serve and what they need for successful implementation of our services. He participates in product development and ensures that client needs are addressed. Jeff's educational background is in geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In fact Jeff started GIS Planning as technical lead on managing client geospatial data. Jeff continues to also be the GIS lead for client mapping as well as the national data layers we manage in ZoomProspector Enterprise. Jeff is equally passionate about client success and takes pride in cultivating strong relationships with all clients big and small. My focus is our clients, from initial setup to training and ongoing support! It is my job to make sure clients are given the resources they need to succeed.

Pablo Monzon - Founder, Managing Director

I Iove creating new products and technologies to make people's jobs easier. It's incredibly rewarding to build software that is both powerful and easy to use and understand. It's important to keep innovating and thinking outside the box. Pablo co-founded GIS Planning Inc. As developer of the first Geographic Information Systems (GIS)-based website for economic development, Pablo is an entrepreneur, innovator and technology professional. With over 22 years of experience developing location-based applications and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based websites, Pablo has received multiple awards in both the field of Economic Development and Geographic Information Systems. His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, CNN, NBC News, and numerous Geographic Information Systems (GIS)-related publications. Pablo has lectured about Internet Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in Europe, the United States, and Latin America. Pablo was a Fulbright Scholar, during which time his pioneering mapping tools and research included affordable housing, urban growth, disaster recovery costs, and economic development. He has a Master's degree in City Planning from U.C. Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. In 2011, Planetizen selected Pablo Monzon as one of the top 25 leading thinkers in Urban Planning and Technology.

Pau Rodriguez

Pau Rodriguez is the creative director at GIS Planning. Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Pau focuses on the practical language of online business by bringing logical flows in user interaction to the online experience. Pau has years of experience building the online presence for economic development organizations and is adept at integrating visual web design with back-end computer systems. Creative Director at GIS Planning specialized in User Interface and UX, Visual Identity and Branding Communication. Constantly changing technology motivates and excites Pau to learn and understand the paths the future holds for companies and organizations to promote themselves online. Russell Riblett - VP of Sales

Russ is the Vice President of Sales and has been with GIS Planning for more than 20 years, first as a client and for the last 16 years part of the team. He has had experience in all parts of the business giving him the technological foundation to communicate with our clients in a language they can understand. His background is in economic development as he spent over seven years with the City of Tucson Office of Economic development learning profession. His passion is to help our clients achieve success in the online economic development arena.
