G. Alexander "Alex" Lewis

Alex has lived in North Carolina for most of his life, and is a graduate of Lumberton High School. He attended North Carolina State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management. After graduation from NC State, Alex went to Elon University School of Law, and graduated in 2016. He was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar that same year. Alex is an Eagle Scout, and his personal interests include airplanes, coin collecting, politics and sailing. Alex and his wife (a graphic designer) live in Goldsboro and are members of Goldsboro's First Presbyterian Church. Alex and his wife are proud parents of two wonderful little boys.

Hailey C. Kirby

Hailey Kirby was born and raised in Wayne County. She is a 2012 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Social Work from East Carolina University in 2016. She attended North Carolina Central University School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2019. While in law school, she obtained training in the Family Law Clinic where she focused on helping indigent individuals in obtaining legal advice and services regarding child custody, child support, and divorce. She interned with private firms focusing on both family law and estate planning. After law school, she went on to become a member of the Wayne County District Attorney's office. She served in that role for two years before becoming an associate at Everett, Womble & Lawrence. Hailey's areas of focus include family law and estate planning.

Harry Lorello

Attorney Harry Lorello focuses his practice on business law, corporate law, civil litigation, insurance, and collections. Harry graduated from Guilford College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in History. While at Guilford, Harry served as co-captain of the rugby team and worked at the Office of Advancement. From there, he worked for two Fortune 500 companies before attending law school at Campbell University. While in law school, Harry clerked for the North Carolina Department of Justice. After graduation, he gained extensive experience in litigation and insurance matters, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Harry has represented clients across the State and throughout Eastern North Carolina in both State and Federal courts.

James D. Womble

A founding partner of Everett, Womble & Lawrence, James "Jim" Womble was a real estate attorney in Goldsboro for over 40 years. In addition, he was previously the attorney for the City of Goldsboro. Jim retired in December, 2018. Jim is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina, receiving his A.B. in 1968 and his Juris Doctor in 1972. He has previously held leadership positions in the Wayne County Bar Association, the Goldsboro Kiwanis Association, the Mental Health Association of Wayne county, and the Wayne Area Mental Health Board. A member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar, and the American Bar Association, Jim is admitted to practice in the Federal District Court, and all appellate and trial courts of North Carolina. Jim and his wife, a retired teacher from Wayne Community College, have made Goldsboro their home for over 40 years. They are actively involved in supporting the arts, Communities Supporting Schools, and their church.

Jonathan "Jay" Falk

Jay is originally from Rocky Mount, NC. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, for his undergraduate degree, and graduated in May of 2007. Jay then graduated from Regent School of Law in May of 2012 and received his North Carolina Bar License in March of 2013. Shortly after beginning his practice Jay married his wife, Elizabeth Anderson Falk, a fellow attorney practicing in Kinston, NC. They were blessed with a son in July of 2018. Jay has practiced throughout Eastern North Carolina and predominantly in Wayne, Lenoir, Greene and Jones counties. He recently completed the Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course and was certified as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army in August of 2022. In his spare time Jay enjoys playing golf, spending the weekends in Swansboro, and attending Carolina games in Chapel Hill.

Kristy Jackson

Kristy was born and raised in Goldsboro. She attended Rosewood High School, and graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, North Carolina. Kristy received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Dramatic Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001. Prior to beginning law school, Kristy taught Algebra and Pre-Algebra at Goldsboro High School. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2007. She was admitted into the North Carolina Bar in August, 2007, and began practicing Family Law in November 2007. She enjoyed volunteering with the local Communities Supporting Schools Teen Court Program and spending time with her daughter. Kristy touched many lives while working at Everett, Womble & Lawrence, and will be missed by us all.

W. Harrell Everett

W. Harrell Everett, Jr. was a founding partner of Everett, Womble & Lawrence. After 53 years of practice, he retired from the firm in August, 2015. He passed away on August 16, 2018. He was born on Christmas Day in 1934 in Williamston, N.C. to William Harrell and Serena Peacock Everett. He graduated from Williamston High School, and received undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina, and was an avid UNC sports fan. He served in the U.S. Army between undergraduate and law school. Harrell began practicing law in 1962 in Rocky Mount, NC, and moved to Goldsboro in 1964, where he practiced law until 2015, including serving as City Attorney of Goldsboro for 35 years. Harrell served his community and church in many ways, including Senior Warden and Treasurer of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, President of the Goldsboro Chamber of Commerce, President and Paul Harris Scholar of Rotary, member of the Goldsboro City Schools Board of Education for eight years, Chairman of the Wayne Mental Health Board, President of the local Wachovia Bank board, and member of the North Carolina Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) committee. Harrell was the reason we are Everett, Womble & Lawrence, and he will be missed. We are proud to continue his legacy.
