Andrew W. Costin

Andrew has been a partner with the law firm of Gorman Nason since 2015. He comes from a strong business background with significant ties to the construction industry and is well versed in a wide array of litigation and transactional work. As a very active member of the business community, Andrew has acted for public and private corporations, banks and individuals in complex and diverse transactions and has acted for some of the Province's largest real estate developers and landlords on a wide array of matters. Andrew also has a significant corporate commercial practice where his primary areas are succession planning, corporate finance, business immigration, mergers and acquisitions and wealth preservation. As a knowledgeable practitioner in his field, Andrew has previously appeared before the Canadian Senate's Finance Committee as an expert witness to provide insight on matters pertaining to the taxation of private corporations in Canada. Andrew is also very active in his community and is a past chair of Uptown Saint John and a current member of the New Brunswick Law Society's Property Law Advisory Committee. Prior to attending law school, Andrew was an internationally ranked tennis player and played NCAA Division I tennis for the University of Rhode Island. In his younger years as a violinist, he performed with numerous orchestras across Atlantic Canada. Chelsea L. Seale

She was co-President of the Health Law Students' Association. Chelsea also spent a semester at Dalhousie Legal Aid in Halifax, and has appeared in the Provincial Court and the Court of Queen's Bench of New Brunswick, as well as the Provincial Court in Nova Scotia. Chelsea joined Gorman Nason as an Associate in 2013 and became a partner in June, 2020.

Frank P. Hamm

Frank concentrates his practice on Business Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Property & Real Estate Law, Wills, Estates and Probate. Originally from Montreal, Frank moved to New Brunswick and later attended the University of New Brunswick (both the Saint John and Fredericton campuses) obtaining his Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law degrees as well as studied in the Master's Program in Political Science in the area of government and small business. He also attended a Corporate Tax Law course at St. Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and has studied the Canadian Securities Course. Admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 1979, Frank practiced as an Associate and Partner in another firm until 1994 when he joined Gorman Nason as a Partner. In his practice, Frank has represented clients in residential and commercial real estate developments, franchise developments and the purchase and sale of businesses, both asset and share transactions and has lectured on these topics at seminars offered by Continuing Legal Education, Banks and private organizations. Outside of the practice of law, Frank is also a partner in two Companies active in real estate development and housing construction.

John M. Henderson

John commenced employment in the legal profession as a paralegal at the law firm Barry & O'Neil where he was responsible to assist lawyers of that firm. After completing law school and being admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 1992 he has engaged in a general law practice primarily in working in the greater Saint John community. He has represented clients in all levels of the Court in New Brunswick as well as before various administrative tribunals. He is very pleased to have joined the Gorman Nason team of professionals in 2019. John is married to Nancy Ryan-Henderson BSc, MPhysEd, BEd. a retired high school teacher, who continues to serve the education system as a supply teacher. Their two adult children daughter, Sailor First Class (Nell) Henderson (RCNR) (University Student) and son, Able Seaman Byron Henderson (RCN) have continued a family tradition of service to our country.

Matthew F. Brenan

Matthew F. Brenan completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2017 form the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton with a major in accounting. Following his Undergraduate Degree, he obtained his law degree at the University of Lincoln with an LL. B. Upon finishing his law degree he articled with Gorman Nason and was admitted to the bar in 2022. Outside of the office Matthew enjoys staying active through hockey, golf, and fishing.

Matthew obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick in 2018 with an honours in Accounting and a minor in Finance. After his Undergraduate Degree, Matthew completed his law degree at the University of New Brunswick, graduating in 2022 with a Juris Doctor. Upon the completion of his degree, he articled with Gorman Nason and was admitted to the bar in 2023. Outside of the office, Matthew enjoys travelling, coaching baseball, and spending time with family, friends, and his pets.

Michael J. Gooding

Michael is an associate lawyer at Gorman Nason with a significant litigation practice representing clients, including businesses and individuals, with respect to contractual, construction and insurance disputes. Michael also has a significant solicitors practice assisting clients with estate planning services and estate administration, as well as representing clients with real property transactions, including purchases, sales and refinances. After completing his undergraduate degree, Michael attended law school at the University of New Brunswick and graduated in 2019 with several distinctions, including the New Brunswick Law Foundation Entrance Scholarship, the New Brunswick Trial Lawyers' Association Prize in Trial Practice and was also selected to participate in the Hon. Peter's areas of practice include Civil Litigation, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Personal Injury and Employment Law. Admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 1993, Peter has been an integral member of the Gorman Nason firm since 2007. Experienced in the courtroom, Peter also served as an agent for Public Prosecution Service Canada for twenty years from 1995 to 2015 during which time he prosecuted offences under the Income Tax Act, Excise Act 2001, Canada Pension Plan Act, and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. Peter focuses on the key issues to provide clients with fast, best, results. Ray Gorman K.

A graduate of UNB Law School and St Thomas University, Ray was one of the founding members of Gorman Nason where he practiced law until his appointment as Chairperson of the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) in 2007. During his tenure at the EUB he served on various national and international energy organizations including Chair of CAMPUT (Canada's energy and utility regulators association) and represented Canadian regulators on various committees of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). In his practice Ray has represented clients in a broad range of practice areas including Labour & Employment, Litigation, Administrative, Bankruptcy and Energy law. He has regularly appeared before various Courts and Administrative Tribunals and chaired numerous Arbitration hearings. Ray is a life-long resident of the Saint John region and has been actively involved in community activities.
