What is the Great American Model Railroad? We are a new organization that will build a very large, world class model railroad in the very popular Fisherman's Wharf District of San Francisco. Our attraction will draw a large number of visitor from around the country and around the world, to see the trains run and view interesting and very entertaining real life vignettes. In addition, we will also create a railroad museum tracing the history of our U.S. rail transportation system and our model railroad industry. The Great American Model Railroad (GAMR) project will be designed to foster a long term understanding of and an appreciation for the railroad transportation system in our country while making a life long model railroad impression on our visitors...
