GREENHOUSE NOVA SCOTIA

The collective interests of all players in the greenhouse industry are represented by a volunteer-run organization - Greenhouse Nova Scotia (GNS). It began operations in 1950 under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors. Today membership in the organization consists of three main groups: Growers, Associates (industry suppliers), and Students. A profile of the membership reveals operations ranging from 800 to 150,000 square feet, as well as provincial and national industry suppliers... To encourage and promote best management practices which limit environmental impacts.
