Danielle Vakoutis joined HAN Legal in 2018, where she focuses her practice in the areas of fiduciary litigation, estate and trust planning, and administration. Danielle received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to practicing law, Danielle worked as an accountant at Arthur Andersen, LLP and Northwestern University, and obtained her Certified Public Accountant license in Illinois. She often uses her knowledge of finance and accounting to advise clients on the key issues that may arise in the areas of estates and trusts.
Danielle understands that clients often come to her during difficult times in their lives and she takes a compassionate and individualistic approach to meaningfully advise those facing the complexities of estate administration and litigation.
When not in the office, Danielle enjoys spending time with her son, hiking, biking and vacationing at the beach.
Attorney, Hilary A. Newcomb began her career as a law clerk for the Santa Clara County, California Probate Judge in the year 2000. Hilary is actively licensed to practice law in Oregon and inactively licensed in California. Hilary practices fiduciary litigation, probate and trust administration, estate planning, and guardianships and conservatorships.
Hilary is an American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) Fellow, a member of the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning and Administration section of the Oregon State Bar, on the editorial review board for the Administering Trusts in Oregon for the Oregon State Bar, and a member of the Estate Planning Council of Portland.
Lisa Puccetti was raised in a small town in California. She has been working as a legal assistant in estate planning and probate law since 2016. In 2018, Lisa moved to Portland and began working for Hilary in 2019. She enjoys sewing, crafting, and traveling in her free time.
Paralegal, Megan Byma was raised in Seattle, Washington. She has been working as a legal assistant/paralegal in inheritance law since 2007 when she earned her degree in Paralegal Studies. In 2010, Megan moved to the Portland area and has worked for Hilary since then. She specializes in estate planning, guardianships and conservatorships, trust and estate administration, and litigation. With every case she handles, Megan provides friendly and reliable assistance to the families and attorneys she serves.
Michael earned his finance degree at San Jose State University and his Post-Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate at Portland State University. Michael handles all finance issues at HAN Legal, including payroll, accounting, budgeting, client billing and taxes. He also helps with the team's use of Excel spreadsheets, QuickBooks reports, and anything numbers related. Michael helps with all office mechanics to allow everyone the ability to do their job.
Paralegal, Míša Bilitz, was born in the Czech Republic, raised in Northern Minnesota and Southern Oregon, and attended college in Southern Minnesota. She earned degrees in English and History, with additional emphasis on Legal Studies and Philosophy. After graduation, she moved out to Portland, Oregon, started working with Hilary, and began learning the intricacies of estate and trust matters. Míša enjoys baking, Thai food, classic literature, British TV shows, and likes to spend her time hiking, camping, or being with loved ones.
