Jordan began playing violin when in fourth grade, his name was drawn out of the hat to use the school's single available violin. Shortly thereafter Jordan began taking private lessons with Jennifer Smith, a violinist/violist who played with the Cascade String Quartet and Great Falls Symphony in Great Falls, MT. With the help of Mrs. Smith Jordan was able to attended the highly competitive Kinhaven School of Music outside of Weston, VT for two full summers. While at Kinhaven Jordan studied with Deborah Buck, a student of Dorothy Delay; and Peter Rovit, one of the last students of Josef Gingold... Jordan went on to study violin at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. While at Eastman Jordan studied with the acclaimed pedagogue of solid violin playing, Professor of Violin Lynn Blakeslee.
