Ami Bowen

joined Harbor Health in 2018 and leads the organization's marketing, external relations, and development functions, as well as grant management and community programs. Ami began her career at international advertising and marketing consulting firms. While at Arnold Worldwide in Boston, her client work focused in New England markets. She made the move into the non-profit world in 2013, serving first as Director of Marketing and Communications and then as Director of Marketing and Development at the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Ami received her undergraduate degree in Politics and a certificate in American Studies from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University.

Armando Cortez - CIO

Armando Cortez joined Harbor Health in January 2022 as its first official Chief Information Officer. Armando is a healthcare IT leader with 25+ years of progressive leadership and extensive hands-on experience leading large, complex cross-functional projects within various clinical settings. Armando honorably served in the US Army Reserves and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Informatics from Northeastern University, Boston.

Ashmeet Bhatia

Dr. Bhatia is board certified in internal medicine and geriatrics and the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative CITI certified. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, completed her medical internship at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana India and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Mass General Hospital, North Shore Medical Center. She completed her Geriatric Medical residency at BIDMC-Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Bhatia is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi and in her free time was a founding member of the DMC Cultural Organization.

Caitlin Coleman

Caitlin Coleman joined Harbor Health in 2017 as a dentist at our Plymouth location and later practiced as the Lead Dentist Geiger Gibson. In 2019, she became the Associate Director of Dental Services. Prior to coming to Harbor Caitlin practiced at Codman Square Community Health Center and also practices in the private practice setting. Caitlin obtained her D.M.D. at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston and completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through Lutheran Medical Center.

Chuck Jones - CEO, President

Chuck Jones became President & Chief Executive Officer of Harbor Health Services in March, 2017. Prior to joining Harbor Health, Chuck was the Chief Executive Officer of Thundermist Health Center in Rhode Island. Chuck joined Thundermist in 2008 as Chief Information Officer and added responsibilities as Executive Director of the Woonsocket center shortly thereafter. In 2011, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Thundermist, Chuck spent nine years focused on technology outsourcing and consulting primarily in the healthcare industry. He graduated with merit from the U.S. Naval Academy and later earned a Masters of Business Administration from Bentley University. Chuck served for five years in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer with tours in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and many ports on both coasts of the United States.

Claudia Marquez

Claudia is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and graduated from Barry University in 2012. Claudia moved to Massachusetts from Florida in 2016 and to work at The Dimock Center, a community health center located in Roxbury. Claudia's professional interests include complex medication management and supporting older adults increase their physical activity. She loves traveling and speaks both English and Spanish.

Dr. Ilona Kopits

Dr. Ilona Kopits is the Associate Medical Director for the PACE program at Harbor Health. She attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine for her MD and Boston University School of Public Health for her MPH. She has expertise in communication with patients and trying to achieve work-life balance. She has also participated in research with the Alzheimer's Disease Center around genetic testing.

Dr. Richard L. Kalish

Dr. Richard L. Kalish is the Medical Director for the PACE program at Harbor Health. Dr. Kalish has extensive experience in the delivery of patient-centered primary care services in the community setting. Early in his career he was the Medical Director at the South Boston Community Health Center. He then served as the Medical Director of Boston HealthNet, a network of 15 community health centers, including Harbor Health's Boston community health centers, Boston Medical Center, and Boston University School of Medicine. For much of this time he was also the Senior Medical Director for the Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan, a provider-based managed care plan with 170,000 Medicaid members throughout Massachusetts. Subsequent to working at Boston HealthNet and BMC HealthNet Plan, he was the founding Chair of the Division of Primary Care and the Medical Director of the Lahey MassHealth (Medicaid) Accountable Care Organization. Dr. Kalish earned his medical degree, as well as a Master of Science degree in Preventive Medicine, from Ohio State University. He also holds a Master of Public Health from Harvard University. He completed an internal medicine residency at Boston City Hospital (which merged with Boston University Hospital to form Boston Medical Center) and a Fellowship in General Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Throughout his career he has maintained a primary care practice, which has included a significant number of seniors.

Elizabeth Maffie

Elizabeth is board certified in Adult Medicine, ANP, BC (ANCC) and graduated with a MSN from Northeastern University. She has been at the Harbor Health Elder Service Place since 2008. Elizabeth's professional interests include geriatric syndromes, falls, polypharmacy, and end-of-life care. Her professional affiliations include Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, National Conference of Gerontological Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Practice Clinical Preceptor, and American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing: Nursing Practice Advisory Panel (NPAP). Elizabeth is fluent in English.

Gretchen Reynard

Gretchen Reynard leads Harbor Health's Elder Service Plan, a Massachusetts Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). She joined Harbor in June 2019. Prior to joining Harbor, Gretchen led the transitional care and case management team, including over 100 providers and clinical staff, at a large physician practice in Massachusetts. She also held director-level roles overseeing the clinical teams of several Senior Care Option plans in Massachusetts. She also worked for several years as a nurse practitioner caring for geriatric patients.

Janaki (Jan) Fonseka

Dr. Fonseka is an internist and geriatrician with over 20 years of experience in multiple care settings. She is passionate about healing and providing age-friendly, holistic, and effective healthcare in collaboration with her patients. Dr. Fonseka graduated from medical school in Moscow, Russia and completed a first internship in Internal Medicine, Ob/Gyn in Sri Lanka. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she also served as chief medical resident. She went on to complete a fellowship in Geriatrics at Yale School of Medicine. She then worked as a geriatrician at Hebrew Senior Life in Boston before moving to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where she worked in acute care medicine for 10 years at Mess General Brigham, Wentworth Douglass Hospital. Dr. Fonseka is fluent in English, Russian, and Sinhala. She loves to travel, experience different cultures, and enjoys being curious about a wide variety of topics.

Jesse Shipley

Jesse Shipley joined Harbor in February 2021 as the Director of Compliance and Risk Management. He was elevated to Vice President in 2022. Jesse came to Harbor from Centene Corporation where he started in 2011, most recently serving as the Director of Compliance, Compliance & Privacy Officer for their Correctional Health business line, Centurion. Jesse attended Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and pursued his Master in Business Administration at Webster University's night school program during his tenure with Centene. Jesse is Certified in Healthcare Compliance by the Compliance Certification Board.

Kristen Barletta

Kristen is an ANCC board certified Nurse Practitioner with experience in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders. Kristen has been an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since graduating from Regis College in 2011. Since then, Kristen worked doing supportive psychotherapy, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders in outpatient and nursing home settings. She enjoys a strong connection with clients, by coupling therapeutic relationship with behavioral and medication interventions. Kristen is the mother of 3 children and an aging cat named Sofia. She enjoys photography, being outdoors, camping, gardening, and everything creative - from cooking to drawing to crochet. Chris is a board-certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP) who graduated from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2019. He received his undergraduate degree in nursing in 2017 from MGH Institute of Health Professions and a degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Before joining Harbor Health Elder Service Plan, he worked as a nurse practitioner in a community health clinic in Boston providing care for adult patients in various settings and populations. Prior to becoming an NP, he practiced as a registered nurse for an outpatient community clinic, mostly serving people experiencing homelessness. As part of his practice, he places a premium on building connections with his patients and their support system, recognizing that it takes a village to provide compassionate and informed patient-centered care.

Lady-Thelma Bolduc

Originally from West Africa, Liberia, Lady-Thelma immigrated to the U.S. as a child and lived in Boston ever since. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Northeastern University and a Masters in Medical Science at Boston University School of Medicine. She worked in several related positions before perusing a career in nursing and received a Masters of Science in Nursing at Simmons University, formerly known as Simmons College. Before joining Harbor Health Elder Service Plan, Lady-Thelma worked as a Community Nurse Practitioner for six and a half years at Commonwealth Care Alliance providing home based primary care to patients with complex medical, behavioral, and social needs who wished to remain in their homes. Lady-Thelma loves her work and thoroughly enjoys getting to know patients' stories.

Michael Kramer

Dr. Kramer is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and received his education and training in Chicago, at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and University of Illinois Medical Center. He is English speaking and has practiced Internal Medicine since 1996. Dr. Kramer has practiced in PACE programs since 2017. His training allows him the opportunity to provide comprehensive Internal Medicine and Geriatric care to those he serves. In his free time, Dr. Kramer enjoys team sports - particularly softball - and movies with his family.

Norm Sweet

Norm Sweet earned both his Master of Social Work and Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York in Albany, NY. He has extensive experience working in the healthcare industry, and over ten years working with the LGBTIQ community. Most recently, he served as the Behavioral Case Manager at Network Health, one of only six organizations contracted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to serve the rapidly growing Medicaid population. Prior to working at Network Health, Norm was employed by Parsons Child and Family Center; the largest multi-service site in New York's Capital region, working there for over nine years. At first, Norm worked as a Prevention Social Worker primarily providing home-based individual, family and couples counseling, case management, and crisis management. Additionally, he facilitated trainings in cultural diversity and in-service planning for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender clients and their families. Norm also participated in several supervisory trainings and completed their Leadership Development Program in 2007. After that, he became the Prevention Social Worker Supervisor managing a satellite office in Arbor Hill.

Rachael Cooper

Rachael Cooper joined Harbor Health in 2010 as the Supervisor and then Manager of Client Services. In this role, she managed the social services, interpreting, and HIV services at Harbor Health. In 2018, Rachael became the Director of Training and Organization Development, where she developed and implemented training programs for employees and supported organizational change initiatives. In March 2020, Rachael transitioned to the Director of Human Resources and was elevated to Vice President in 2022. Prior to joining Harbor, Rachael worked in statutory child protection services in London, UK and in social services at both non-profits and schools in the Boston area. Rachael's commitment to Harbor's mission is steadfast and incorporates her training as a social worker into her role as the Vice President of Human Resources. Rachael received her undergraduate degree from Boston University in Philosophy and Political Science and her Master's in Social Work at Goldsmiths College, University of London. She obtained her LICSW in Massachusetts in 2013 and her SHRM-CP in 2021.

Samantha Evans

Samantha is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) who graduated from Frontier Nursing University in 2021. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Salve Regina University. Before joining Harbor Health Elder Service Plan, she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a community health clinic in Fall River providing care for patients of all ages. Prior to becoming an FNP, she practiced as a registered nurse for seven years in various settings including sub-acute rehab, long-term care and internal medicine. She enjoys learning about her patients and developing a bond while providing patient-centered care. Samantha was born and raised in Dorchester, loves reading, and speaks English and Haitian Creole. When she is not in clinic, you can find her keeping up with her two children.
