Bill Shirey

Bill has worked for Hershey Equipment for the past 15 years, serving as a sales representative for our line of poultry equipment. He most enjoys seeing his customers succeed through Hershey Equipment's partnership and equipment. Prior to his work at Hershey Equipment, Bill spent ten years on a poultry and farrowing operation. Bill is a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. He has been involved in agriculture since 1975 and has been working in sales since leaving the farm. Bill and his wife Cindy were married in 1975. They have two children, a daughter Maggie and son Nicholas. Daughter Maggie and her husband Chris have 2 children, Myla, age 4 and Grady age 2. Son Nicholas and his wife Jess have a daughter, Camille age 2. Bill and Cindy's favorite hobby is spoiling their grandchildren.

Brad Dickson

Brad began working full-time for Hershey Equipment in 2012, after 8 years working part-time and seasonal positions with the company including production, human resource management and accounting. In his current role, Brad manages and coordinates poultry projects, oversees staffing, scheduling, purchasing, construction and installation. Brad most enjoys the opportunity to work with customers to ensure the best quality of service. Prior to his work at Hershey Equipment, Brad worked as a management intern with Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. Brad earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Liberty University in 2011. He currently serves on the board of Penn Ag Industries Association. In his spare time, Brian enjoys hunting, fishing and listening to country music. He also follows his favorite sports teams - the Atlanta Braves and Miami Dolphins.

Doreen Dickson

Doreen joined Hershey Equipment 31 years ago and currently serves as the company's Vice President. She handles marketing, public relations and customer relations. She most enjoys working with people. Doreen has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Liberty University. She is also a past President of PennAg Industry Associates and Marietta Restoration Associates. In her spare time, Doreen is an enthusiastic supporter of LCBC church. She has two sons, both smart and good-looking, who clearly favor their father :)

Galen Miller

Galen joined Hershey Equipment 4 years ago and currently sells our line of pre-engineered metal buildings to a wide variety of customers. Before working for Hershey Equipment he owned his own general contracting business, building custom homes and handling commercial and industrial work. He had his general contracting business for 38 years before selling the company and coming to work for Hershey Equipment. Galen currently serves as a Senior Life Director on the National Board of Home Builders (NAHB).

Jeff Dickson

Jeff Dickson joined the Hershey Equipment team on a full-time basis in 2015 after 4 years working part-time and seasonal positions. In his current role, Jeff handles estimating and quoting for poultry jobs. He enjoys the opportunity to learn new information every day, independently achieve project goals and complete tasks and the creative freedom to make decisions. Jeff graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing and a B.S. in Business Administration/Project Management from Liberty University in 2015. Jeff married his beautiful wife, Laurin in August 2015. The couple have three dogs (Molly, Rosie and Andy) and one cat (Alice). In his spare time, Jeff enjoys working on DIY projects, hunting and playing soccer.

Joyce Hershey - Founder, President

Don founded Hershey Equipment over 50 years ago and continues to guide the corporate vision for the company and handle sales. He most enjoys the opportunity to work with customers and achieving sales goals. Don is a past President of the Lancaster Farmland Trust and has served on the Board of Directors for a number of faith-based organizations including: LCBC, Manheim, PA Lancaster Bible College, Lancaster, PA Thomas Road Baptist Church Ministries, Lynchburg, VA Word of Life, Schroon Lake, NY Joyce Hershey started Hershey Equipment Company (HEC) in 1964 from their home in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, as a service to local farmers who needed technical advice, service, and installation of their equipment. Less than 10 years later, HEC was also offering sales of poultry equipment and turnkey construction, fast becoming a distinguished leader in servicing the needs of farmers.

Mike Dickson - CFO, Treasurer

Mike Dickson has worked for Hershey Equipment for 31 years. He currently serves as the company's Treasurer and CFO, handling estimating, accounting and financial operations. He most enjoys the opportunity to improve efficiency in the company's operations. Mike earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Liberty University. Mike is an enthusiastic partner at LCBC church. He is also an avid Miami Dolphins fan and father to two sons. In his spare time, Mike enjoys bass angling and spending time outdoors.

Mike Gerlach

Mike started his career with Hershey Equipment 27 years ago and currently handles millwright scheduling and crew management. He most enjoys working one on one with customers. Before working for Hershey Equipment, Mike worked in farming. Mike is married and has 3 adult daughters. In his spare time, Mike is a volunteer on the advisory board for the Penn Manor AG Department. He also loves vacations in the mountains.

Nick Hess

Nick has worked for Hershey Equipment for 19 years. He currently serves as Customer Service Manager, scheduling service calls, managing the parts department, maintaining parts inventory and overseeing warehousing and building maintenance. He most enjoys the wide variety of work he does, as well as working with customers. Prior to his role as Customer Service Manager, Nick spent 12 years as a service technician. Nick has received vendor training in grain dryer repair and Prinzen egg packer repair. Nick grew up working on a local farm for tobacco, dairy and chickens. Prior to his work at Hershey Equipment, he worked at an automotive machine shop as a machinist for 6 years. Nick is married to his wife Peg and they have two daughters, Jade and Brooke, along with a son-in-law John and their dog Rex. In his spare time Nick enjoys riding motorcycles, snowmobiling and playing softball and volleyball. He also enjoys spending time in the mountains.

Nick Shirey

Nick has worked for Hershey Equipment for 5 years, offering estimating service and sales assistance to customers. He most enjoys the opportunity to work in the agricultural community and tailoring each project solely for the success of Hershey Equipment's customers. No stranger to poultry and swine, Nick has been around the industry since he was a child growing up on the family turkey farm. While in college, Nick also worked at an organic free range chicken farm. Nick has a B.A. in History and is a member of Phi Alpha Theta (National History Honor Society). Nick is happily married and has a precious daughter named Camille Simone.

Ronald Sparks

Ronald has worked for Hershey Equipment for 17 years. Currently, he designs feed mill and material handling projects. He most enjoys the design side of projects and figuring out the best way to design a facility. Prior to his work at Hershey Equipment, Ronald worked for a large agricultural co-op in the engineering services department. To date, he has over 42 years of experience in the design of feed mills, grain operations and material handling equipment. Ronald is "Big Papa" to 5 grandchildren.

Saul Miranda-Cuellar

Saul has been working for Hershey Equipment for 24 years. In his current role as Poultry Supervisor, he oversees poultry installations in the field. Saul was born in El Salvador and is now a citizen of the United States. He most enjoys the opportunity to work for a family-owned company.
