Barry Hobin is the founding partner of Hobin Architecture Incorporated. Having recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, the firm has become widely recognized for its contribution to Ottawa's architectural landscape.
Mr. Hobin has been a strong advocate for architecture. He has been the president of the Royal Architectural institute of Canada. He has also served as Chairman of the Committee of Adjustments for the City of Ottawa, Design Committee Chair for the City of Kanata Town Centre, Site Selection Director for Habitat for Humanity, and Building Program Chair for Carleton University's Board of Governors. In 2013 Mr. Hobin was presented with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of outstanding commitment to the community, and he received the Integrity and Ethics Award in 2018 from the General Contractors Association of Ottawa. Mr. Hobin developed the TV series "Homes By Design" with Sound Venture productions to showcase residential projects in Canada and internationally.
Bryan Bonell is involved in both the development and production stages of several major institutional and residential projects as well as the site design of many projects. He is actively involved in the production of preliminary studies and contract drawings. Bryan was in charge of the preparation of contract documents for St. Patricks Home of Ottawa Long-Term Care Redevelopment.
As manager of the office's technology systems, Bryan co-ordinates the purchase and maintenance of equipment, manages and oversees the CADD/BIM standards utilized by the office, and co-ordinates the exchange of computer-based information with clients and consultants.

Dan Henhoeffer brings significant experience in many aspects of the architectural industry as a BIM Manager, Project Manager, 3D animator, and Revit specialist.
Dan is dedicated to providing creative and technical support, and project management skills to the already strong architectural team at BJHA. Having established a bed of experience at GRC Architects and IBI Group, Dan brings to the Hobin Team a vast and varied range of project experience. He has contributed to a number of Revit-driven projects in a variety of industries including municipal, education, commercial, recreational and cultural.

Doug Brooks has had significant involvement in a wide range of projects, including private and public sector clients undertaken using a variety of contract types. After graduating from Carleton University's School of Architecture, Mr. Lorimer designed a variety of community-focused developments including non-profit housing, churches and outreach centres. Since retiring from Hobin Architecture in 2022, Gordon has continued to be active as an advocate for affordable housing and the homeless. He is also active in volunteering his expertise in architectural education.

Upon graduating from Carleton University's School of Architecture, Marc has participated in a variety of residential, institutional and commercial projects with Hobin Architecture. Contributions to the Firm's design philosophy begin with significant involvement in each project's design development stage.
Marc's project involvement continues through production of construction documents and management of consultant teams. Marc continues to expand his range of project experience having recently overseen the construction of 20-storey apartment building in Little Italy.

Wendy is a partner in the firm and has been part of our team since 1989. Her experience with clients such as the City of Ottawa, County of Renfrew, University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Saint Paul University, Jewish Community Campus, Ottawa Police Service and the Long-Term Care Sector has provided her with a unique skillset in working collaboratively with multi-headed institutional organizations.
Wendy was the Partner in Charge for the multiple award-winning James Bartleman Archives and Library Materials Centre (LEED® Gold), in addition to numerous complex projects in the institutional sector such as Valour K-12 School and the uOttawa Lees Avenue Campus Redevelopment. Wendy has extensive experience working closely with owner representatives and clients with complex managerial structures, with the firm belief that a collaborative approach creates a better project for all.
Wendy has become known for her innovative design approach which leverages opportunities for added value. This "thinking outside the box" extends to project delivery, where she has managed a variety of contract types to best suit the current market conditions, availability of trades and construction schedule.
