IDAHO LAND AND APPRAISAL

Idaho Land and Appraisal, LLC, is the oldest professional appraisal company in Idaho. Harley McDowell started this organization as Idaho Land and Map Company in 1953. This was a professional real estate service company supporting private landowners, attorneys and accountants throughout Southern Idaho and Eastern Oregon. The services provided at that time included surveying, Taylor Grazing Act support, Desert Land Entry filings, water right applications, oil and gas research, and real estate tax appeals. When Interstate 84 was extended east to Boise from Ontario, Oregon in the late 1960's, professional real estate appraisal services were made on behalf of the property owners to assist in eminent domain actions filed by the governmental agencies. Idaho Land and Map Company evolved into Idaho Land and Appraisal Service Company in the mid 1970's.
