Angie Randall

Angie began her career in the insurance industry over 30 years ago; starting in claims processing, then moving into general lines as a customer service representative, where after only 6 months she was promoted to Office Manager. She furthered her career by learning both the sales and claims divisions of the insurance industry. Angie then took time off to stay at home and raise her children, and upon returning to the workforce she joined Infusion Knowledge in October of 2018. She has since dedicated herself to learning about the healthcare industry and has taken over many tasks during her time with the company. Angie is a valuable asset to the Infusion Knowledge team!

Barbara McElroy

Barbara has over 25 years of experience in infusion therapy and clinical education. She is currently a clinical educator at New England Life Care, developing clinical education in the areas of infusion and oncology nursing while maintaining clinical expertise via direct patient care. Additionally, Barbara has provided nursing instruction in BSN programs at Plymouth State and Rivier Universities; is director of a BON-approved LPN IV course; and provides clinical expertise in legal cases (both plaintiff and defense) related to infusion therapy. She holds certifications in vascular access, infusion, and oncology nursing, and holds an MSN from American Sentinel University. She has developed multiple CE courses in the area of infusion and is a frequent contributor to the National Home Infusion Association's Infusion magazine and presents regularly at national conferences. Barbara is a member of the Association for Vascular Access, the Infusion Nurses Society, the Oncology Nursing Society, and the American Nurses Association.

Carol Van Buren

Carol has over 30 years of nursing experience, including 10 years in adult critical care, 14 years in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and for the past 6 years she has focused on the specialty of vascular access. Carol places ultrasound-guided PICCs / Midlines and Peripheral IVs as a member of the IV Team within BayCare Health System. She plays an active role in educating newly graduated nurses, has participated in skills fairs for ER/ICU staff, and has recently taken on a management position on the Morton Plant Hospital IV Team. Carol is a member of AVA, GulfVAN and FlaVAN. She is thrilled to be an Associate Instructor with Infusion Knowledge for both didactic and clinical settings. Her expertise and enthusiasm are positively received by her students.

Chantale Padilla

Chantale has over 25 years of nursing experience including 10 years in Intensive Care specializing in cardiovascular, neuro, and trauma. She transitioned from the ICU to practice as a sedation nurse for Interventional Radiology where she assisted with special procedures such as angiograms involving stent placements and placements of varying infusion catheters. Chantale has been practicing as a Vascular Access specialist for fifteen years and is currently the supervisor for a vascular access team at a local hospital. She routinely utilizes ultrasound guidance for the insertion of PICC/midlines, peripheral IV catheters, and arterial access devices. She also teaches ultrasound-guided vascular access on a regular basis. Chantale is Vascular Access-Board Certified (VA-BC), a member of the Association for Vascular Access (AVA) and the Florida Gulf Coast Vascular Access Network (GulfVAN).

Christina Coulter

Christina graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2001 and a subsequent BA in Gerontology. She spent 7 years working in a variety of areas with older adults; including adult protective services, community care management, mental health, elder law, and private home-care management. She received her BSN in 2009 and her Master of Nursing in 2011 from the University of Washington. Christina maintains an active internal medicine practice in Seattle, Washington, and recently earned her PhD in Nursing Science at the University of Washington.

Debbie Oliver

Job Titles:

Debbie is an Associate of Infusion Knowledge, Inc. where she reviews phlebotomy / venipuncture-related legal malpractice claims. She attended ABP School Of Phlebotomy and became certified as a Phlebotomist in 1996. Since that time, she has gained 24 years of hands-on experience working in the Laboratory as a Phlebotomy Coordinator / Supervisor, Clinical Laboratory Educator, and Certified BLS Instructor, as well as a Certified Phlebotomy Instructor on staff at a local technical college. Debbie also attended Southern New Hampshire University where she obtained a degree in Business Administration.

Derek Swan

Job Titles:

Derek has been a practicing nurse for over 8 years. He began his career on a medical surgical unit and is now a member of the Vascular Access Specialty Team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a vascular access specialist, Derek is proficient in ultrasound-guided insertions of peripheral intravenous catheters, peripheral midlines, arterial catheters, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC). He has experience training new members of the Vascular Access Specialty Team at his facility. Derek is a member of the Association of Vascular Access and the Massachusetts Association for Vascular Access Network. IV insertions are one of the most feared procedures by patients and Derek strongly believes that with the technology we have today, no patient would ever be subjected to a blind IV insertion.

James Campbell

James Campbell has been in nursing for over thirty years. His experience includes the Emergency Department, ICU, CCU, and Vascular Access. James has worked for Duke University for the past twenty-eight years and is currently working in the Infectious Disease Clinic 1K. He provides Central Venous Access Device Education for the entire Duke health system. He also developed the OPAT (Outpatient Antimicrobial Therapy) program and was the first Vascular Access Nurse to place a PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) for this new program. James served in the Army during the 1st Gulf War as a 91C (medic) Sergeant at Walson Army Medical Center.

Jennie Golden

Jennie has been a nurse for over 20 years and has an extensive background in infusion therapy practice. Her academic accomplishments include a Baccalaureate Science of Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management. Jennie's background in nursing includes med-surg, outpatient infusion services, home infusion, pharmacy, vascular access teams, and management. She also has experience with the development of infusion policies and procedures, as well as educational tools for patients and staff members. Jennie is a practicing clinician on the Venous Access Team at Advent Health and holds a Clinical Operations Manager position with CVS Health. She also actively precepts and mentors nurses in vascular access and PICC/Midline insertion. Jennie has been a CRNI since 2009 and is a member of both the national and the local chapter of the Infusion Nurses Society. She is recognized by her peers to follow best practices related to vascular access and encourages other healthcare providers to do the same.

Jenny Davis

Jenny began her career in healthcare over 25 years ago. Her experience includes materials management, accounting, and administrative support for BayCare Health System's continuing education department. With her impressive organizational skills and ability to multi-task, she quickly advanced; eventually managing the state provider numbers for multiple disciplines, as well as coordinating classes for the corporate education division. In 2001 she saw an opportunity to grow and further develop her extensive skill set with Infusion Knowledge. Since that time she has established multiple systems that have made operations more efficient and customer friendly; and overall is responsible for a more streamlined way of conducting business. Her unique ability of process identification and implementation has been invaluable in the growth and continued success of the company. Jenny assumed responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Infusion Knowledge in 2005, and since that time has managed the support staff and associate instructors/ consultants, built multiple online programs, and implemented a new learning management system. She is a loyal and dedicated employee who understands the vision and goals of Infusion Knowledge.

Jodi Avery

Jodi Avery has been a nurse for over 20 years and has an extensive background in neonatal intensive care and vascular access. Her academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Georgia College and State University in 2001. Jodi received her board certification for vascular access (VA-BC) in 2013. She is an active member of the neonatal and adult PICC teams, as well as a preceptor and team leader for the neonatal PICC team. Jodi has helped develop newborn policies and procedures for newly opened hospitals. She has also served as a transport nurse on a neonatal and pediatric transport team. Currently, Jodi is a practicing clinician in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Tampa, Florida where she serves as a preceptor for vascular access, charge nurse, and bedside staff, and works per diem on the adult and pediatric Venous Access Team.

John Bell

Jon Bell holds his Master of Science in Nursing and is an RN with nearly 30 years of emergency medical experience and 15 years of experience in surgical care. He has combined these backgrounds to specialize in vascular access education and built a successful vascular access specialist team. Jon went on to gain experience as a clinical education consultant. Mr. Bell received board certification in vascular access (VA-BC) in 2018 and is actively involved in the Association for Vascular Access (AVA). He has presented at multiple national and regional conferences. Jon enjoys connecting with students to share best practices and mentor critical thinking skills.

Kay Coulter

Kay is a nationally recognized infusion therapy clinician who has over 35 years of experience related to the specialty practice of infusion therapy. She has dedicated numerous years providing I.V. therapy-related education and consulting to all levels of healthcare providers, institutions, and organizations. Kay is the Co-founder, Executive Director, and Principal Instructor for Infusion Knowledge, Inc. where she presents on all aspects of I.V. Therapy Education, Infusion-Related Legal Issues, and PICC Qualification. She personally created the well-known CRNI® Review Program, which has been assisting nurses to successfully pass the CRNI® Exam for over 20 years; and most recently the VA-BC™ Exam Review Program. Kay is qualified as a Legal Nurse Consultant and has been retained as an expert witness for clinical infusion therapy legal matters. Publications of her work have appeared in the Journal of Intravenous Nursing, Home Infusion Therapy Management, INS Newsline, and Vital Signs. Kay has contributed to books on I.V. techniques, including Expert Rapid Response and Handbook of Infusion Therapy; and served as a Technical Editor for the book titled IV Therapy for Dummies. In 2016 she co-authored the Study Guide for Vascular Access Certification.

Lee Melvin

Lee has a vast nursing background spanning over three decades. He has worked in a variety of care settings as a staff nurse, a consultant, in management and in industry. He developed a passion for infusion therapy early in his nursing career and gained his Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) credentials in 1997. He also gained his Vascular Access Board Certification (VA-BC) during the inaugural testing period in December 2010. He completed his Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN-Ed) in 2018 at Excelsior College. He has experience with various vascular access devices, care and maintenance, quality improvement, mentoring, and coaching. Lee has presented at local and national conferences on various infusion-related topics. He possesses skills in product evaluation and implementation. He has taught best practices in IV therapy for many years, often receiving excellent reviews from participants. He has received a number of awards and achievements in his role in the industry. He is a member of the Infusion Nurses Society (INS), the Association for Vascular Access (AVA), the National League for Nursing (NLN), and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. He served on the board of the Florida Gulfcoast INS Chapter from 1997-2001.

Linda Bednarczyk

Linda has been a practicing nurse and IV clinician for over 35 years. Her background in IV therapy began on an acute care IV Team where she was the manager, as well as a hands-on member for 8 years. Her experience also includes 6 years as a home infusion clinician, and numerous years as an infusion pharmacy coordinator, consultant and educator for long-term care facilities. Her experience and knowledge related to IV therapy is extensive. Linda's passion for promoting the best IV therapy practice is evident in her teaching style and effective precepting of students.

Lynda Smith Cook

Lynda brings with her four decades of expertise in IV therapy in the hospital, long-term care and home healthcare settings, and has served as both a practitioner and a consultant in the field. She possesses a Master of Science in Nursing degree and has held certification in infusion therapy since 1984. Ms. Cook has published multiple articles on diverse topics of practice issues and infusion complications. She has also authored a chapter in the most recent edition of IV therapy Made Incredibly Easy and is the author of two chapters in the (soon-to-be-released) 4th edition of Infusion Therapy: An Evidenced-Based Approach. She has been recognized as one of the "Great 100 Nurses of North Carolina" and is a recipient of the "CRNI of the Year" award.

Margaret S. Grosz

Margaret S. Grosz has been an RN for over 40 years. Her background includes intensive care for both adults and pediatrics, outpatient surgery, home care, home infusion, and infusion pharmacy liaison. Margaret also has extensive experience in management with a special focus on clinician skills and facilitating quality infusion care for patients. She has experience with the development of infusion policies and procedures while employed in multiple infusion positions (for pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics). Margaret has been a CRNI since 1990 and is a member of the Infusion Nurses Society (INS). She has presented at local and national conferences on numerous infusion-related topics. Margaret firmly believes in infusion best practices for patient safety and clinical practice. Setting the standard as a clinical manager begins with a strong knowledge of infusion, evidence-based practice, hands-on care, and teaching to other clinicians, for which Margaret is an extraordinary example.

Molly Judge

Molly has been a nurse for over 25 years after graduating from The Medical University of South Carolina. The first 14 years of her practice were in various nursing roles as she moved throughout the country supporting her active duty Navy spouse and raising her children. She has specialized in vascular access for the past 13 years. Molly is currently the Shift Coordinator for the Vascular Access Team at IU Health Bloomington Hospital where she routinely places peripheral IV catheters, peripheral midlines, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC). Additionally, she is an Independent Consultant who provides education for Interrad Medical and Arrow International. Molly practices as a legal nurse consultant and has been retained as an expert to review infusion therapy-related legal cases. She was a founding member and is the current President of the Indiana Vascular Access Network. She is a member of the Association for Vascular Access (AVA) and the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) for whom she has presented on vascular access topics, as well as served on several committees for AVA.
